  1. Few more pics of the cedar job. Not in order but you get the idea.
  2. Jeebus! When hasn’t it been a farce? Enjoy it (or don’t) for what it is, laughable nonsense.
  3. Yeah I watch it, pissed of course, never make the voting. San Marino won’t win, of that I’m sure.
  4. Decent FA cup final, lacking real tension. My nagging problems about where I had seen Bernardo Silva before were resolved when it came to me. Oddbod Junior from Carry On Screaming.
  5. Yews are grim trees to reduce, good effort.
  6. You’ve been living in a tent for a month? What’s that all about?
  7. Found on a dead Douglas stump. Any ideas, I can’t search google atm, will do later.
  8. Nice work all. Finished up felling and chipping a line of dead Douglas, plus client added some pops. I saw this labour saving method of clearing on a forum somewhere, works a treat.
  9. Simple way to check bearings is remove the belts and spin the flywheel by hand, it should spin smoothly and for a long time, like a perpetual motion machine. Then see if there’s any play in the wheel. If the bearings are that bad (if the noises are the bearings) they’ll let go (disintegrate) very quickly.
  10. You have to @EdwardC him Paul.
  11. Swallows will nest inside a building, martins only under the eaves. Once you know the difference, separating them in flight is easy. Swifts, bigger, faster, higher, shaped like a crescent.
  12. On the subject of dogs and bluebells. This is Woody, a springer from my local pub back in the UK. I used to put him in the pick up and take him for walks after work when I was still in the UK (between 00 and 05) Years later when visiting the pub he’d recognize me and run outside to find the pick up. Long gone now of course, but he used to give me the joy of having a dog when I lived in a flat and couldn’t have one.
  13. Like a Scots, no regrowth from blind wood.
  14. When that happens and I can’t get the nuts free, I just get the 6” grinder out and cut the pockets off (only the other side of the pockets have thread so once you’re through on the Allen key side it’ll drop off) Invest in some decent quality cutting discs though.
  15. Did Jaime and Cersie die? I wasn’t sure.
  16. Jon Snow I expect, the lip wobbly, teary eyed throbber will have to do it. Mind you, after he couldn’t even give Ghost (his direwolf) a goodbye tummy rub, I lost all respect for him.
  17. Yes they’ll be imperial not metric, though a metric equivalent can often be used. What aspect of replacing pockets is worrying you?
  18. You opened the thread! Anyway.....Dracarys!
  19. A poem about Swifts by Ted Hughes https://www.racingtheswift.com/cycling-africa/swifts-ted-hughes
  20. Well, we saw the end of my favourite character, The Hound, who finally did for his brother, dying himself at the same time. Good episode, best of series 8 imo, Dany has gone stark staring Targaryen mad, Jon Snow is a dimwit, as usual.
  21. Funny, the coil on my 288 has been replaced twice in 20 years, the only husky where that’s happened. Absolute cracker of a saw though.
  22. These things are organised long in advance, it’s a chance for other countries/cities to showcase themselves. There’s no way it can be changed now.
