  1. Don't think I will use these again and will keep the second chain that came as an emergency back up only. I have found they run the bar hotter and are wearing the rails down by the nose sprocket at quite a rate. I now need a new rim sprocket because the chain has really eaten into it. The bar was new and the sprocket only had light marks on it when I installed the chain. At just over half worn there are bits breaking off from the drive links and depth gauges. Shame, because the cutters do seem to hold sharp longer than other chains, but they do seem to be made from a harder metal which I think is brittle. Just my opinion and observations, back to oregon for me.

  2. These look like the blades that come fitted to petrol powered saw benches. I have a 28" blade on mine and I find that because the blade is quite thin, they do shimmy a bit. I thought it was a faulty blade at first and had the seller send me out another blade, but that is the same so just accept that is how they are.

  3. Still can't make my mind up on these chains. I run 3/8 on my 550xp. I tried the smaller chains when they were piranha on my 021 and found them very grabby and vibrated a lot. I ended up binning them. I find the 3/8 almost too aggressive as if I had already filed the rakers down. They are ok for logging, but hard to control at lower revs if you want to tickle a hinge or the like.
