Not very professional tree work.
If the sub station is as close as it looks then it would be done for free by the distribution company and it's not really promoting good practice in a tree of that species and age now is it....
No need for a job like that . Poor tree.
Is it really worth worrying about

Thanks mate, that was my thinking behind purchasing one - feeding hedgerow using a digger and with the drawbar dragging it along aswell. As mick has suggested have you fixed it in position or it functions just fine as is?
I have mine fixed yes mate 💪

I believe Timberwolf stopped making them and supporting them, so draw your own conclusions.
I read that the turntable was a bit vulnerable so most people have them welded up in position.@bigtreedon has one, so he’s the man to give you a review.
They have a couple of things that need changing like the belts to a power band that changed the chipper I love mine 92 hp I think people are obsessed with light weight and fuel efficiency these days not me we can feed it with a digger all day no problem hardly here any auto stress bags of power 👍🏻

Quite a few years ago now. Used them quite a lot up the tree. Sometimes if you need one it is nice to use. Heavy as hell but wanted to get the job done in this London Plane and Oak in the other picture. Hard timber and would have been a pain in the buttski with a 660.
48” bar was needed on that tree. Started smaller but it was easier to go large, we changed it up that day for the larger bar to make the cuts in one go.
Can't beat a good roof off

Nope, my 660 can manage pretty much anything I'm likely to come across in the UK. Not much need for an 88 round here.
Got to ring that down in the morning not much fun with a 661 I get the general comment of 881 been most of the time unnecessary but I do havd the need for mine a few tines a month 42 inch bar in solid beech would be a bit painful on a 661 🤣

I'll try and remember to get u some I pick it up with the grab which is I feel much more efficient than the ones that have to be attached to the head stock also with my grab been hydraulic rotator I can move the rake in the desired direction without changing the direction of the machine if that makes sense

Rather climb than rake that lot up!
Did it with the hydraulic rake on the vermeer so wasn't bad 💪

You got a little rake for the quad mate? Should be fairly cheap to fabricate a tined rake you can grab with the klou
Straight through the chipper, roots et all
One of the most satisfying attachments for a loader is a rake every time I use mine on the vermeer it makes me smile 😃

@bigtreedon slotted this one through today and thought of you.
50’, but straight and vertical, pulled by hand.
462 with 20”, 550 bar wouldn’t extend the cut, and I didn’t want to mess around with both sides.
Hinge was much more respectable than it looks from this angle!
Laying them to rest 👌
