Once the stop bar has been activated providing the operator can not restart the feed roller while in the danger zone (inside the hopper) which they can't on a Jensen or Forst what regulations are they breaking ?

It's not easy that's why everyone isn't doing it but it is possible! Our box would be replacing the original control box and would take on any current shutdown features and then give you that option to have additional features Having a history of using/repairing chipper and stump grinders this is being looked at from a different angle than most manufacturers would look at it! And now we have started research and development it's surprising what is possible!

It wouldn't need one if its still under warranty !! We are looking at a system that you would be able to order it to spec'/features you would want, like an extra options list ! The box would be standard - Stop/start stress control with easy external button setting so you can adjust to your own preference Then additional features could be added like Auto reverse Digital display High Temp shut down Low oil pressure shut down If you tell use what features you would like it to have and we will work out a way to make it possible! We would also offer a repair service so should it go wrong later on it wouldn't mean forking out for another new replacement! We are also looking at other features which aren't offered on any other systems ( so hence can't disclose details at this stage!)

We are currently looking into developing a universal stress control unit! We currently recondition many older units for customers but as addition now are looking to offer a new cost effective replacement made in the UK ! We are exploring the options of a box which can be ordered to your own required spec eg digital display or just led light indication , external speed setting buttons to allow you to alter/set stress control to your own preference We could also add a auto engine shut down option eg engine over heats or low on oil. We would be happy to hear your comments on what you would your control box to do, look like/controls ect Our control box could also be fitted to stump grinder of other machinery which needs load control

Interesting point ! But it is a rear thing for something to break instantly and more commonly its a case of fractured cracks first followed by complete failure ! So as every driver is responsible for checking there vehicle and trailer before starting there journey and they have a unchecked crack, loose something or a failing weld then they went on to drive on the highway who's responsible then?? (Proving they did it didnt check it maybe a little bit hard!) But it is worrying when your watching that car home made trailer or tractor and home made trailer coming towards you on the other side the road!!!

Welding is a simple word but a far more complex task! There are different welding methods for different jobs A good welder should know the which and how and therefore produce a good strong result! There are methods to help prevent fatigue and fracture cracking which maybe why parts have started dropping off or it could be just down to inexperienced welder Or possibly the designer if something has been fabricated to plans !!

All good Groundcare machinery workshop will have a crank straightener! So when you go and hit something a little to hard for the poor thing you won't have to coughs up for either a new crankshaft or even a new engine!!! Crankshaft straightening has been going on for years, and if done correct like you said you never knew yours had been!

We currently recondition some stress control units and are currently working on a retro fit stress control system !! How many would be interested ? Would you want it to auto reverse as well? Or manual only? We would also offer a repair service for a cheaper longer life!! -

If it's a plastic tank as it looks then it's probably the brass insert in the tank which is no longer captive and turning in the hole which then leads to leakage around the outside, common problem on all types of plastic tanks! Some can be plastic welded/repaired but most result in a replacement There are some sealants which are diesel resistant which could provide a more effective repair unlike the silicon used with a cartridge end cap!

Most manufacturers state a 2mm movement is a serviceable limit ! Regular greasing should keep it going for a bit longer!! Correctly adjusted brakes and care not to place to much nose weight on and you shouldn't have many probs

I bought a new mattress last year, looked at the pure memory forum, did the rounds trying them all out !! Ended up changing the 10 year old 1000 pocket spring with memory foam topping Sleepless night for Slumberland 5000 pocket spring memory foam topped and boy what a difference!! Apart from the thing will brake us back getting it up the stairs took 3 of us boy is it heavy all them extra springs! Sleep like a dream.. Wished I had changed it sooner ! Cost £900 king size If going for pocket springs get the highest volume of springs available makes all the difference !! Warranty - check the small print!! Some say you have to have proof to say you had it cleaned professionally on a regular/annual basics
