  1. Sold now anyway. I have only had this tipper for 10 months so reckon it was a dodgy MOT as I only did max 5K myself and it only did 8K in the last 12 months.

Paid £800 and sold for £650 - so it cost me £150 for 10 months :) I basically do much more gardening and jet washing than tree work these days. I do have a little Belingo van as well. In fact it only went out about 1 or 2 days a week in the summer max. Last winter Ok it was out most days doing tree work with my chipper

So I reckon a panel van might be for my business a better plan + talk customers into keeping the chip :)

  2. My LDV Tipper just failed its MOT (see photo)and looks like the end of the road for it even though the engine and box are brill the body work is poor and looking at the fail ticket looks pricey to get another year out of it. Got it now for sale on Gumtree as a failed MOT buy. Sad times as i loved that crappy truck.

Looking at other tippers they seem a lot of money, so was thinking of getting a panel van instead to chip into.

Do any of you guys actually use a panel van with a chipper??

Got about 3K to spend on a tipper alone but cant find anything any good for that money. My old LDV was a bargain at the time, but not so now :(

Just do not know what to do :confused1::confused1::confused1:

  3. Conifers and laurel taken down and left by some idiot

Also some small limbs to be taken off the mess of a tree they did. Just needs chipping up and taking away. I cant do it now as I am not well enough. PM me and I will give your details to the customer and you can have a chat.

Nice couple and could be done next weekend I suppose if you cant do Tuesday.

  4. I am doing more of this sort of work than tree work these days. I now promote it much, much more as well. :)

Nice easy days with a FSC compared to all the aggro with friggin trees, chippers, tippers staff letting u down etc :(

No chemicals are needed at all to be honest, just make sure its a 15 litre per minute machine minimum and the weeds will be blasted.

    Lovin it :) :) :)

  5. Hiya!

Just bought a benford single roller trailer to pull my cs100 around on as apparently they fit like a glove......! Not mine! The space between the ramps and the part where the roller would have sat is approx 28", the wheelbase of my cs100 is 29.5"! Anyone else had this problem? Looks like im going to have to remove bits of the trailer to get it to fit which will be a pain as the bits I need to cut off are 10mm steel! Anyone else had issues??

EXACTLY the same problem I had - took me all of 20 minutes with a angle grinder and now it fits like a glove :)

  6. I do exactly that now, but also check sites out with the LPA first , to cover me mainly , but also the contractors i sub for like it as an add on, just got the new tw230, don't work every day subbing, as i also do a lot of other things, but i do get £250 a day for my troubles + vat and remove the arisings . My truck is sign written but my contractors know im not interested in quoting anymore. Main summer interest is fishing, anyone can be a busy fool but not me. :thumbup1:

Man after my own heart

  7. Can you tell me if this is red thread on this lawn. I cut the grass every 2 weeks for this customer and never noticed it before. But come yesterday it looked horrid.

Also what do i need to do to get it looking better.
