Thanks Guys for the info - so it will not die then if left to its own devices

I had to take two large limbs of a Silver Birch last week and I know they bleed badly.
My question is should i put something on the cuts or will it be ok just left.
Thanks any advice appreciated.

I have just ordered the Venom 13HP from Rock so once it arrives I'll let you know how it performs..!
It appears to be the same as the Jansen 1500 GTE but with a Briggs engine (which my gut tells me should be better) and best part of £500 cheaper, they were very helpful when I spoke to them to order, they chucked in a spare set of blades. They explained that they assemble them there, adjust the blades, run them up and test everything before shipping them.
Fingers crossed!
You will love it every bit as good as the CS100 and a lot easier to move about
Wish I had not sold mine now

I don't know if the Chinese ones have hour counters?
None of the little chipper have hour counters - just buy a tacho and fit it yourself, easy peasy
My under a grand chipper is proving its worth - only gets out once/twice a week but so far bleedin BRILL for the money.

Just bought one AGAIN £999 inc vat and delivery. Sitting in my garage still on the pallet as arrived a hour ago. Looks decent + 2 years warranty. Had two CS100 in the past sold em as I was packing in - but keep getting asked by old customers to do jobs. So thought would give this one a punt at that price

There is a Rock chipper on ebay in very could condition for £1200, only 6 months old - I reckon you could get it for a grand cash

Anyone had any experience with Rock Machinery's "Venom" 3.4inch chipper? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uYQ7vasOhts
Yes - brilliant chipper for a third of the price of a CS100 and just as GOOD. I have had two over priced CS100's and I prefer the Rock one + money in the bank

I am getting database error when i try to post in other sections

I have owed the Rock chipper now for a while and have to say its every bit as good as the CS100 of which I have owed two off. Plus at under half the price. To me the CS100 is over priced. I sold the Greenmech after buying the Rock.
I no longer have a tipper so chip into a box van these days. On the smaller jobs it fits in the van as well with just 4 bolts to remove, 5 minute job

A huge than you to gardenkit. Stuff arrived this morning and all fitted

I have a Tanaka 240 series brush cutter with the hedge cutter attachment and for the life of me I cannot get spares for it. I used tanakspares.co.uk and all i keep getting is they are on back order. I ordered 2 bolts that hold the fuel tank in place as these has vibrated free and a air cleaner cover last year in March.
Come July still no sign so cancelled the order as really pissed off with them as they would NOT give me a date, just kept saying on back order. So I just cable tied it up and struggled on.
Ordered again last week - guess what STILL on back order. Of course they take the money straight away
Any ideas where else I can try for these bits guys

Haven't used it properly yet just used it with a few branches from the weekend before. I stuck in a 3inch horse chestnut trunk and it destroyed it wasn't expecting it to be honast. 2016 model 3 months warranty left from Bertram mowers in Ipswich. Tried starting it and I thought it was broke only to realise an hour later the stop butting was stuck in don't know how it got stuck in though as I hadn't yet used the big red button. Looking forward to using it next saturday. Very hard work pushing onto van by myself but will get easier
No it wont - especially at the end of the day
I ended up putting mine on a roller trailer and just towed it behind my van from job to job.
-
The rock chipper will not fit in your van that is for sure as i have the same van.
-
Get that Rock chipper is my opinion. To me its as good as the cs100 and a 1/3 of the price. If like me you will only be using it approximately once a week it is a no brainer. Took a medium sized connie down Monday and it was brilliant. I have had the CS100 and this is as good so far, its also much easier to move around and get on and off my trailer than the Greenmech was.

Well I used my new little chipper from Rock today. Total 5 hours and I am mighty impressed for £1500 it chipped as well as my CS100 and actually was a lot easier to move about as well, thanks to the handle on the front.
Will just see how it measure up in the future.

Cheers Spud.

It gets used ONCE a month on ONE job. Its what I bought it for. I find these back back blowers to big and cumbersome for most of my work.
I use the stihl hand held ones for every day use.
12 months warranty so out now

I have a Hyundia HYB60 backpack blower, it is about 16 months old from new and it has lost its blow
Just does not blow like it used to - any ideas what may have caused this please or what should I try.
It seems to fade when I press the throttle, does not increase speed.
