Single speed and just above tick over is how I’ve always ran winches. I’d say you be best to attach the main boom to the top of the wince, there’s an eye on it. To save the head stock taking the abuse towing in. I’ll find a video of mine with no additional bracing so you can see.
Looks a very capable set up but looks to give the loader a fair bit of stick

What ever works for you, as long as everyone on site knows the score.

In the UK now, if you have any opinion that is some way different to the agenda set out by the MSM, then you are instantly labelled as 'far right' which instantly pigeon holes you into the same category as Tommy Robinson. the EDL and the National Front. They do this so you appear to the sheeple, that you are affiliated to those extreme organisations so you either shut up or you get shut up. If you dare suggest there are too many immigrants coming over in boat, you are now far right, if you suggest we have too many people in this country you are far right...it's all done so in the end you comply with how they think you 'should' be thinking.
I guess that makes a lot of us and a growing number very right wing

Shirley they should be helped to get migrants out of the country!
It shows are bad this country has become when the illegal immigrants are trying to leave!

What’s the difference between a bison and a buffalo?
You can’t wash your hands in a buffalo!

I would give that a home, I like odd stuff!

A simple tree gard will do all the protection you need. After that soil, sun and water will do the trick.
I would replant it somewhere further away from the wall regardless of what the wall is.

Have you a picture that shows the whole tree and the context it is in?
I would of said from the bark it looks like ash so has a high chance of dying from adb anyway but any ash that are not infected are important as a future seed bank to breed resistant trees from for the future.

404 is fine but I would recommend buying a ripping chain, you will get a smother cut and use less fuel in my experience. Also how old are your bars? Chain wonder from uneven bar rails can cause issues when milling
-
That doesn’t sound so good, at least the weather is getting better to go walkabout.
-
If you’re cutting with the grain look at a ripping chain. But I wouldn’t worry about chain blunting, maybe a little quicker than green wood but not enough to stress bout.
I would say @Rob D if probably your best man for this question seeing as he has probably forgotten more about chains than some of us know! .

Had a quick read, all fairly shocking green washing and a complete waste of public money

The grcs is worth every penny. Mine paid for its self on first couple of jobs, one of which would have ideally needed a crane with out it! Combined with a loader you can get some seriously big lumps out

This no longer concerns me as I drink both tea and coffee black, but there are a significant number of people who drink theirs with milk, and a great many of those choose to add milk to the whole flask when it is made, rather than adding it to the individual cup when pouring. There is nothing wrong with this, despite what whoever wants to complain about the practice has to say.
Warm milk left in undisturbed corners will inevitably turn into yoghurt, cheese, or some mysterious substance somewhere between the two. Pop-top thermos lids are a favourite location for yoghurt farmers to grow their product, and some of them are incredibly difficult to dismantle for proper cleaning.
I promise you, there is someone reading this right now who is even unaware that they do require periodic maintenance, and has a stomach-churning quantity of dairy smegma built up under his lid.
For this reason, half-thread thermos lids are far superior.
With you now, milk should be kept in a separate bottle! If you can’t tell tea is a ritual this way 👍

More info needed. I can't stand the push button lids as they gunk up with yoghurt and other scum. Half threads are still the best solution in my opinion, keeping heat in but letting fluid out.
Yoghurt? In a flask? - (walks off tutting loudly) Flask is for tea and tea alone you heathen.
on a serious note I think the Stanley flasks are as good as you get at a sensible price.

There was a video of some lads swimming down the height street near here! Luckily we’re off the coast far enough but I feel for the people who got it in, you can’t beat water.

Totally agree. I was given this saw without battery or charger which I purchased. Saw was a great little back up for a while until this happened. One of the raised pieces has sheared off. These raised profiles link into a scroll which clamps down onto the bar. It's annoying because it's such a small part, I just can't see how I can repair it, and without it the saw is useless 😩
Is that part steel or Ali? It could be possible to build the lug up with weld and grind it back if you have the kit to do so, I doubt it would be viable to pay someone to do it tho.
or adw did have a poss solution for you but it’s not something I’m familiar with.

Brain and fingers not in sync
As I understand it Pi insurance should only be needed if you are giving written report liken tree survey work etc.
public liability will do along with employers liability if any one works with you (including a self employed subbie)
