  1. But a dumpy bag fulled on top of a proper wheelbarrow can carry loads more for the lighter large volume stuff like grass mowings leaves & hedge clippings.

Its like a single wheeled sack trolley better for moving heavy stuff like boulders  & large tree rootballs etc, but normal a sack trolley will also do that.

So its niche is heavy loose stuff gravel i suppose but tipping gravel etc from a normal wheel barrow is easier than empting that I reckon.

  2. Many saplings are completely dead apart from a few sprouts  at base, many trees around 30yrs old age top of  canopy twigs dead. Least  visible signs on the 50yrs old plus trees though a few some are showing signs also.

How fast will it progress to kill  the mature trees after they first show symptoms?

  3. BTL market  alot less profitable now iv'e heard than it used to be.

I don't like the idea of profit from others in that way, something morally wrong about theese BTL empires of houses etc..

But im probably just jealous of people who made millions though BTL without working because thay got lucky with a lump sum too invest then got onto BTL gravy train it at the right time of the house price market cycle etc.

Alot of housing benefit going to  making BTL landords rich  in former council houses.

  4. Have you ever used the rbc hegde trimmer attachment?

    Makita A-89523

Will it fit a rbc3101? also not sure about using a hegde trimmer with bullhorn handles?

  5. I have run the RBC model 30c version for yrs. Quality strimmer

The MM4 engines I can't find much feedback on them or  reviews of them from longer term users.

Like the "eco" idea of the 4 stroke  of the mm4 makita long reach hegde trimmers,  less exhaust fumes, but thinking 4 stroke still means heavier & less power compared to others?

There  cheaper than echo stihl etc though....

  6. Theres no fairtrade label for charcoal or eqivalent?, so its cheap in supermarket I suppose as probably  imported  from places with cheap labour zero enviro regs (deforestation etc) etc, hard to compete against that.

    It even funds terrorism:

    https://www.alaraby.co.uk/english/Comment/2018/3/5/UAE-still-supports-al-Shabaab-through-Somalias-illicit-charcoal-trade

Only way is  target market @ people who care about enviro wanna buy british etc.

I bought some local  direct 2.5kg for £5.

  7. Any local farm shop type place that could stock it, but I suppose they would want a %.

The local farm shop has fruit & veg at a crazy prices & its not organic & much is bought in (labeling isn't clear but the  they have obvious out of season stuff) but as its a "farm shop" opposed to lidl people seem ok paying alot more.

They even have  bananas in stock.

  8. Quote

Not quite sure how they manage to get the money they charge with many being twice the price of the going rate

Because marketing BS is more important the product., and customer can boast about there specially imported crates of  latvian kiln dried wood at dinner party. ?

  9. Any decent ones that have a grippy palm?

The leather palm gets get really slippy especially in wet, then like already mentioned they just fall apart after a few weeks anyway.

Suppose in an ideal world could charge enough too  afford to get new gloves everyweek  & run aspen etc

Anyone use arm sleeves when doing blackthorn berberis etc was thinking of trying some, might stop arms getting wrecked by thorns.
