1. Hi Lads, yeah sorry I've put the wrong prices up there. Those are our retail, collected from the yard price (£118/£88 delivered). The correct wholesale prices are £65 for soft and £90 for hard. The volume of the crates taking into account for the bulge of the wire when filled is ~1.1m3. (The one I measured before came to 1.15m3 so theres it could be a little either way.) James
 2. Hardwood - £100/Crate Softwood - £75/Crate (Prices are collected from the yard) We have approximately 300 crates available. Our hardwood bulk crates contain a mixture of wood including; Silver Birch, Ash, Sycamore, Beech and Oak. Our softwood bulk crates contain a mixture of wood including; Larch, Douglas Fir & Scots Pine All of our wood is felled and stored in lengths for up to a year then processed and stored/seasoned in crates for a further year ensuring that our logs are at a moisture content between 15-23%, guaranteed. We use a Japa 385 Expert ensuring that the logs are a uniform size (9-10 inches) and split into regular sizes. A crate holds 1.15 cubic meters of loose logs. As a business we have been supplying the Northumberland & Durham areas for a number of years now and have received nothing but praise for our logs. For further information please email James at '[email protected]' or alternatively call on 07912790752. To view the logs please visit our website (www.newlandsfirewood.co.uk) Thanks, James

 4. Looking for a supplier of good quality kindling in the north east, will buy a couple of pallets at a time. Could you pm me with prices Thanks Ben
 5. I wouldn't have a problem hiring people in to process stuff we can't handle. There's a day or two work if the figures added up, south Northumberland.
 6. Floods last week turned to snow this weekend, busy week of logs ahead!
 7. Hardwood £118 per cube delivered within 20 miles
 8. I've just finished processing a mix of ash, beech, sycamore and birch 70 ton in total. Ended up with 153m3. So just shy of 2.2m3 per ton
 9. No but here's the new video of it [ame] [/ame]
 10. When I looked they were £15-£25 and couldn't find 400 of them. These are £4-£5.
 11. Just tack the wire on with fencing staples. I use the wire bent back around and cable ties to fix the wire together, surprised how long they last into the 3rd year and haven't had to replace one cable tie yet! Cheap and fast to build.
 12. 1.2m by 1m and standard stock fencing wire. Let's plenty of air through!
 13. Slowed right down now only 2 cube this week. It's givin us a chance get sorted for next winter, another week and should be done!

 15. Reluctant to as I've never done it before. Would imagine the import etc is a bit of a hassle! But saying that the pound is quite stong against the euro right now.
 16. The majority will be 3m as we mostly do firewood and works well with our trailer atm. Not too keen on going down to say 2.3s to get two bays on as slows production. Probably end up cutting 3.7 to get a full load. I'm in no rush, but from what you and others have said I'll be lucky to find one local! What size can you go up to and still get two bays with the bruunett?
 17. Very fast just over 3 mins per cube! What diameter timber to achieve that? Did you see it in normal working conditions with the usual range of timber on a arctic?
 18. Thanks TCD I'll have a ring around. There's a few machines on mascus in the high teens to mid 20s but all seem to be in Germany, poland or Latvia. Would rather get something closer to home!
 19. Evening all, on the lookout for a timberjack 810/valmet 820 or something similar. Anyone know of anything? Any leads appreciated, thanks
 20. Have a look at the farma g2 trailers, 14ton driven for 25k when I was looking a few months ago. I've had a smaller farma for a couple of years now and it's been a cracking trailer!
 21.
Cheers for that Jake! sounds a good machine, will have a trip to wilsons open day in May see one in action.

 22.
Thanks for the reply Jake, We use an excavator and garb to load the deck and process straight into crates. It will be staying in a shed so the road transport isn't a problem. How do you find bent or twisted timber, does the blade nip at all or does the log clamp work well? Any problems with belts? And lastly does 100-130 ton out of a blade on clean wood sound about right? Thanks Ben

Hi

Hope you don't mind the message, I've read a few threads about the posch s360 and see you have one, I'm looking to upgrade my japa chainsaw machine (tired of messing around with chains, bars and oil on a daily basis) and was looking for any downsides to the 360 from someone that owns and uses one. Any points would be a great help!

Thanks for your time, Ben

 24. Roughly the same as logsnstuff 10%-15% end of the summer 18%-20% this week. stored in crates in a barn.
