Good post, I was just looking at what I should be using.
I have used Oregon semi synthetic no problems, red one shot Stihl no problems, at the moment I am using Stihl HP Super semi synthetic no problems.
Should I be using full synthetic?
I noticed a post that said a husky saw warranty would not be valid if using Oregon oil, I find this hard to believe. I would think that Oregon semi synthetic would be as good as the rest.
The 560XP owners manual says,
" Two-stroke oil
• For best results and performance use HUSQVARNA
two-stroke engine oil, which is specially formulated for
our air-cooled two-stroke engines.
• Never use two-stroke oil intended for water-cooled
engines, sometimes referred to as outboard oil (rated
TCW).
• Never use oil intended for four-stroke engines.
• A poor oil quality and/or too high oil/fuel ratio may
jeopardise function and decrease the life time of
catalytic converters."
Should you use Stihl oil for Stihl saws, and Husqvarna oil for Husqvarna saws? saws can't be that sensitive, or brand concious.
If it seizes using Aspen, does that expedite any warranty claim as the fuel must have been correctly mixed?
I think we should also be asking, which oil makes premium pump fuel keep better.

Lol I have explains this option as a last resort and they're not keen on the aesthetics of pollarded trees. So it's a tricky one.

And depending on your moral standing as an arborist, if you don't someone else will unfortunately.

Hello, I've been asked advice on how best to reduce a 70' sycamore in a back garden. It's completely outgrown it's surrounding and has been heavily thinned in the past by another tree surgeon. As the crown is a very symmetrical natural shape and now with no growth points apart from the outer foliage, to reduce in affect would be to pollard? I have obviously explained this and have advised to either live with it, pollard? Or remove and replant.
What would you guys advise
Any advice given is appreciated
