My throwing aint too good, tend to fling it from the hip and hope for the best. Did my training with tony darbyshire and he makes it look easy. Did manage once to put a cambium saver in from the ground once.

well i use a knut on my main system and a vt on my work position strop. i think you'll know when you find a good set up that works for you. a good bit of advice i was given once, when introducing new bit of kit, one thing at a time and get used to using it before putting anything else in the mix.

A vt also has more sit back, the knut being more compact also i find it dosnt strangle hold. If you are using this set up for the first time and your friction cord is new make sure you tend the knot as you assend.

I've been using the knut on my hitch climber for a while, its a really good hitch as it runs very freely.
