Been running 585 for about 9 mths now and the 592 for nearly 6 mths and if you look back at Jamie's other post about the 592 you'll see what I think. Was chatting with a pal this evening who had a factory development 592 for around a year and he said he knew within mins just what "balls" the saw had and I agree with him, runs far better than the 395 with more power and far better fuel use. I've run a 42" on my 592 with no problem but day to day run a 28" on 585 and 592. The 585 is a very interesting saw which as a "standard" carb runs just like AT saw and the easiest starting saw I've had which up until now was a 461 but the 585 is ahead of that. I have a couple of videos on my instagram "outinthewoodagain"  The 585 was in our dealers around 9 mths ago and the 592 hit late November early Dec which was a surprise for us as such a small market, Republic of Ireland, seems to be last in the line up for anything new.

Ok how do u find the 592 for every day use I fell big trees in forestry sometimes I previously had a 572 and that was awesome I regret selling it cos the 592 was coming I felt that the 592 would do big trees and some milling at the same time that’s why I opted to sell the 572

592xp has not been released yet in the UK (other than Husky ambassadors).

Although my local Husqvarna dealer Tom’s Mower in Llandrindod Wells has taken delivery of the 585😳

But I am still waiting for the 592xp that was ordered and paid for last August 🙈

But to answer your question the 592xp will be the best Husquvana you can buy for milling. Your only other option would be a Stihl 661 or 881. They are already out in dealers, but availability is a little hit and miss

It should not be long for the 592xp

ok thanks jamie for the update as i was a little confused as on f.r jones you can order it and there a 5 day lead time on delivery on there website so if contacted them to give me more info on this lead time there stating

  4. sorry if this has already been bought up but is anyone running a 592xp on hear and managed to get hold of one yet just wanted to no your thoughts i had a 572 and sold it to get the 592 as i wanted a bigger saw for big tree work and a bit of milling is it worth the hefty price tag or would you look at something else ??/

  5. iv got the latest model only a month old and it has been faultless so far and iv muffler modded it had to do nothing adjust the high crew a tad to get it to rev out a little but she idles fine and no issues so far

Echo is ordered, collect it this week, pretty excited to be honest.

I hear nothing but positive stuff about this saw.

It was a choice twixt Dolmar and Echo...and Echo won.

Husky and Stihl are just not my bag,  i am not sold on the tech and premium price of stihl.

So let's see how the Echo it does in the woods over the next few months..👍👍 that's the real test.

    Cheers for input everyone.

good choice u will love it run a fair few tanks through it and she really opens up there very tight from factory u will need to give it a tune after its run in but its an awesome saw built to last

I have been quoted a good price from my local dealer for boyh echo and husky.

    Husky for £840

Echo around £100 more than the husky. But with a few sweetners chucked in.

The echo has a good warranty, and the retailer is very good. Will lend me a saw etc if mine breaks, always over and above.

So to my mind the echo seems to be winning as its not just the price it is the aftersales service too, and supporting local business.

Sadly the 500i is just out of my budget. Well over a grand..

the 7310 echo is man awesome saw mate u will not be disappointed i review and test them as well as husky i would have purchased the 7310 but i had the 572 so there was no need for me to buy another 70cc but if i hadn't had the 572 i would have purchased the 7310 without a shadow of dought

    Just to add my two-penneth...

I've just been quoted 21 week lead time for a clutch plate for a 2511 top handle.

I don't know if that's code for "we're never making any ever again".

I don't suppose anyone knows where I can get one from?

Love the saw, but things break (or get lost...) and to have it sat on the bench for the best part of six months is an invitation to buy / use something else.

Skyland equipment has stock I’m not sure what your after is it the clutch cover the clutch bell ???

Well if you are going to become a European advisor for Echo can you please advise them to make sure they have plenty of spares in stock, in country for their saws please, and available everywhere!! There are a million & 1 outlets all over the web for parts, and bits & bobs for Stihl & Husky saws but a veritable desert for commensurate Echo parts!!!

I don't know what it's like for ground saws (I don't own one) but trying to get spares for their top handle saws (I have a CS-360 TES) is a chuffin nightmare. There have been other threads here on AT about the challenges of finding spares for the 2511T so I'm sure it's not an isolated issue for me & my 360.

So my advise to Echo would be to buy/rent a big (or bigger) warehouse in the middle of the UK, stock half of it with products you want to sell to the professional user, stock the other half with the spares needed to repair those products when they break. A broken saw or other tool collecting dust on a bench in a workshop whilst trying to source spare parts or waiting for them to be shipped in from the far east or some other far flung global manufacturing point is not going to help the professional user make any money. So if buying an Echo professional work tool means having to endure prolonged down time & wasting more time trying to find spares parts, then I'd be better off spending my hard earned on a Stihl or Husky tool where spares are more readily available and easier to acquire from multiple sources. Otherwise, IMHO, Echo cannot really hope to be a long term viable contender in the UK chainsaw market, and risk just being seen as a small, novel bit part player on the side.

As an example, off the shelf parts (when compared to parts I can find for Stihl/Husky) that I am struggling to find (even including on Echo UK's own website) are things like replacement bar; chain sprocket; chain brake spring and or fuel/oil caps. Whilst some official Echo dealerships might have the odd item listed on their own individual websites, I am struck by the prevalence that what few parts are available the majority are listed as "out of stock". Whether this is down to delays along the manufacturing and distribution chain due to Covid or the complex uncertainties brought about by the transition of the UK's departure from the EU's customs union in the run up to Brexit is never clear but "out of stock" smacks of a lack of preparedness and foresight when it comes to Echo's attitude to it's UK after sales market!

Whatever new products that Echo might currently have in development to be brought to the marketplace in 2021, if they haven't got an adequate and readily available stock of spare parts to replace bits when they break, then all they are producing is bigger more expensive paper weight to sit on the repairs shelf collecting dust waiting for spares to be sourced from "gawd knows where, gawd knows when"!

Just my "two penneth" worth. Thanks.

i understand your frustration but im pretty sure brexit and covid have a massive part to play i don't no exact details but i was told from someone who working with in the brand it takes 4 days to ship the parts to the uk from europe and that was before brexit and covid  my dealer doesn't like to stock the parts on  the shelf he just ordered them in when needed if never had an issue iv ordered a few oil fuel caps and they have always turned up in a couple of days after order i haven't had to order anything recently but i could see if i can find out more info in the next coming days

  10. 14 is way to much 10 12 max and to be honest i wouldn't go panther i don't really rate them they don't last if im honest if you order a 2511tes it will come with a sugih 10 pro carving bar witch is worth its wight in gold or if your gonna go 12 fork the cash and get a sugih pro light for it they last years the bars do

I'm sure it'll at least have Autotune, not fussed about fuel injection. All reports of the 500i are that it drinks like a fish.

Very much looking forward to this "592XP" even though a used 390XP arrived for me today.

yeah im holding out for this saw currently have a 550 mk2 and a 572 xp im after a big big saw so this will possibly be purchased if all is good when more details are announced
