  1. Hi Does any one use a nikon forestry pro laser measure? I'm looking to buy as they seem good value for money. I currently use a leica disto d5 which says it's suitable for tree measurement but I find that laser doesn't bounce back for the tops of crowns to well. Any advice in the nikon would be great Many thanks Tree

Hi, I will add some photos next when im back there. It is a street tree 5m from the houses. Its a lapsed pollard. Its probably 16-17m tall. The crown looks healthy but my concern would its location, although not a busy street, it can be at peak times. Just been reading your earlier post and the link research paper which is very useful.

  15. agreed you kit doesn't have to cost a small fortune, the nylon hammers you can buy cheaper from diy shop, but as above a rubber mallet is a good start. I use a metal 3 piece air gun cleaning rod, its cheap, long and easy to carry.
  16. Think they just banned part of it, its now just Nimrod as the T chemical is banned. Well it was a few years ago when I brought some!

  21. Would a mulcher not do the job?
  22. I found this a difficult question to, Complete replacement and species change is a option as long as your evaluation weighs up the pro's and cons. You could just opt for a adhoc approach. But it doesn't matter what you decide along as all 4 options are fully evaluated.
