Advice please, just started to play up , have been using this saw for milling and after about five minutes maybe more of running ok started to loose its ticker over then stop, and then a bugger to start again, tried it this eveing and it started from cold but then wouldn't idle without giving it throttle then died again,so not sure but I hoping its nothing to bad???:confused1:

  2. Had a couple of days in the forest milling some storm damaged softwood,we planked up with the alaskan then squared up on the mill that we made up last year. it gave us a chance o see how it worked and what modifications were needed, the new bar and chain i had from Rob made a big difference.hers a few pics ,the timber was for base for a deck area.

  3. nice system Kevin,i to agree with everything you have said about the rhi!!!, I have the log boiler (orlingo) linked up with solar thermals which at the moment are working away ansome, but I could,nt afford to run the boiler if I didn't source and process my own wood!!

  4. hi folks!!!,I am a relative newbie to milling, and finding some great advice in the threads .i have an Alaskan and a 395xp which I bought couple years ago to make up some planks for building roof truss`s in a restoration project and ever since that when I get a chance cant wait to get the mill out!. looking forward to more milling stories and pics.
