  1. Cut proof trousers offer protection to more than just limbs, you nick a femoral artery and bleeding out before assistance arrives is a real possibility. Worth every penny (and then some more).

Oh no doubt about it! but for a climber who doesn't chainsaw its most likely an unnecessary expense. One day if I begin start cutting trees down all the time I may consider... Maybe I will keep an eye on eBay. :thumbup1:

  2. I completely understand that, I'm trying to compile a list of bits needed to make one. I was a little confused when it was said a slingshot would not do not. So I presumed there was an alternative device you guys were using at the end of the pole instead. :-)

  3. I didn't explain properly, I sounded like a tit.

I meant its not like a car which tons of things, there are fewer things to go wrong/slightly quicker to fix. If you know how of course.

I only dabble, so to be honest I haven't got a clue, always willing to learn though. Ha!

Might get my hands on a spares and repair and have a dabble, I always find learning hands on is best approach.

  4. There is much behind a Chainsaw engine is there? Must be reasonably easy to rectify a problem. I know I undertook a Stihl 024 for the misses dad the weekend. Just renewed the carb kit etc. Followed a YouTube video. :thumbup1:

It is good fun messing around. (with engines that is)

  5. Hahaha. I just ordered one from there 5 minutes ago. Can't wait, although I don't have a 4ft pole.

I have just been wondering about the hassle of using it with 2x6ft poles:001_huh:

I thought that is what you ordered? :blushing:

  6. Decided to go for the army deployment bag. :-) I took a look at the Mountain Warehouse bag yesterday. It looked nice and shiny but I felt I could get a bigger one for the same price. I then considered driving down to GoOutdoor today to look at the Gelert Expedition 90L version but then remembered I had a £25 eBay coupon. So researched further into the army deployment bag and it seems to be the ideal bag! So only cost me the postage £6! BARGAIN!

  7. no, but it'll do, you have my attention...fire away

Sorry for wrong section, I did try to hunt the correct thread.

Basically when you get a notification from the ArbTalk App, and it comes up on the locked screen. If you also have another notification i.e. Text Message or Email awaiting on the locked screen. When you slide the notification across to view directly. The ArbTalk app loads then automatically closes and goes back to the Home Screen.
