  1. Hi All, I’m using Quickbooks for crm, and now it’s set up pretty happy with it. But need to sort out , (sorry a bit tech illiterate) software , hardware, device, tablet for keeping records, risk assessments, MS and all records, training , etc and particularly a solution to allow RA signing on site. Been looking at the Microsoft Office suite but £60 a year .... thinking that Word could offer a signature box to its documents.... Wandering if any one found google drive useful? It’s particularly the signature box that allows Actual signing I’d be really grateful to hear about ? Cheers
  2. Help needed on Wednesday Thursday and possibly Friday this week 8,9,10th of August. NPTC for grounding climbing would be good. Call Mike on 07817218817
  3. I have cs30 31 38 39 41, CSCS card, LOLER for climb kit and rigging kit. Own saws. 2yrs instructing experience. 10 yrs experience on site Available to work as a freelance climber in Bristol, Bath, South Glos, N Somerset, Somerset areas m; 07817218817 email; [email protected]
  4. Try this Momp. Don't know much about the uni, the few tries I have had, revealed a very smooth running piece of kit. Slinky up/smooth down, also compact!
  5. hi Adam Any chance I could get a hitch climber tether off ya ? they look super smart, if they hug the top of the hc then perfic!
  6. Ello ther, Another carry on camping for the tree hugging massive is evolving. The date is set for the 20th, 21st and 22nd of September. An evening of nothingness is planned from 6pm friday when all are welcome. We will be on the same site as last years event, on the outskirts of Wotton-under-Edge, which is some 15 miles north of Bristol. The motive for the gathering is too have, from 12 noon on Saturday, an open discussion on current climbing systems and the techniques we currently employ in trees. The benefits of the Hitchclimber system will be discussed, with reference to the 'hitch climbers guide to the canopy'!! Single rope technique (SRT) and how it offers some progressive work positioning. A chance to re visit, aerial rescue and emergency preparedness, ask ourselves if we could improve our awareness and ability to perform in rescue situations. As every climbers kit varies, could interested folks bring their kit so that a practical outcome can be achieved. Two techniques where a casualty is lifted before being lowered will be demonstrated. Its also a social gathering, a time to cook and eat and drink by a fire, without sounding too romantic. The site is on the edge of the Cotswold escarpment and the field we will be staying in is next to a small woodland. There is a fire place for use, so please bring some 'orrible knotty piece of wood that keeps cropping up in your wood pile too save your sanity and keep us warm. Last year we were lucky enough to have a certain technical bod whose volume and level of information for me anyway, is very admirable. Hopefully he will be attending again this year, if hes not tree camping somewhere else trying to reverse evolution!! If we have the pleasure of his company, im sure any questions on kit / regs etc will be answered! Take, leave or add what you wish, an 'open workshop' is very much the idea on saturday afternoon. Join at the start, walk away when you've had enough or join later on. If someone leaves the weekend with just one tried, tested and understood idea, there is a possibility in the future, one of us may benefit. All are welcome friday evening from 6pm, all weekend, or just for workshop / rescue stuff on saturday. The site is predominately a scout and guide activities centre with 1.5 acre of field to camp in. We have the site to ourselves and basic facilities include, electric supply, toilets, basic kitchen stuff, water and emergency dry room! Please bring all your own sleeping arrangements, food and cooking stuff. There are shops in the town which is a longish walk or short drive away. The fee for using the site is £10 each for all weekend, or £5 for saturdays workshop. All money will go to the scout and guides group, any donations are always much appreciated. The site is at- Old london road Wotton under edge, Gloucestershire Gl2 7EA Carry on up 'Old London Rd', passing a couple of houses on your right. Carry on through the woods, as the road levels out at the top look for a building on the right. Entrance to the field is through a gate on the same side of the road, 50m after the building. If there are any questions please email or get on the blower, [email protected] or phone, 07817218817 cherz Look forward too seeing you there Mike Tucker
