  1. Not really unless I did it in a number of loads, in the back of my Clio.
  2. Anyone on here made any gun stocks? I am looking for some Walnut or Yew to try and make a new gun stock for an air rifle
  3. I was wondering if there is anyone on here that sells and delivers cords. I did have someone I was buying oak cords (8m length) at 1 tons a time but think he was not delivering a ton as the loads seem to have got less. I would be looking at buying 1 or 2 tons at a time.
  4. It equates to about 3 dumpy bags, and so a cost of around £28 per dumpy bag. To buy dumpy bags cut and split, the cheapest I can find is about £45. I dont sell to other people, its just for my consumption. I used about 4tons last winter. I would happily pay £50 per tonne and by in 5 or 6 tonnes if I could, but no idea where to get that type of load from.
  5. I live near Exeter and at the moment I am buying in my firewood at a ton at a time. I cut it up myself, as I find this the cheapest way to buy wood in. It is mostly oak and I am paying £85/ton delivered. Is that reasonable? Is there anyway of buying in bigger loads?
  6. Spud, Thanks for the replies. I have looked online and haven't for any Stihl or Husky for thst kind of price. I will have another look tomorrow. Need to make a decision as would have to collect the saw from Bridgewater and I live near Exeter, but am in Bristol for work tomorrow. Cheers
  7. I buy in cords for my firewood, so its to cut that. I have had an offer to remove some fallen down trees to help out a game keeper and I currently have an electric chainsaw so need a petrol one for the fallen down trees. I would love to buy new but at £150 thats nearly 2 tons of oak cords at the rate yhat i buy them in and I dont think I will be getting 2 tons from the fallen down trees. Its a red one, have an image of it on my computer just not sure how to get it onto here. Thanks
  8. Hoping someone on here can let me know wether it is worth buy the above chainsaw. I am on a very limited budget and have been offered this chainsaw for £50. I know it looks like an old model, but are they ok chainsaws. Thanks Steve
