  1. Hello all, happy new year. I'm looking for days to fill my diary. I'm qualified and insured and have a decent size transit arb tipper to chip into and a yard to drop. Available to cut, climb or drag. Usual quals (cs32,34,35,38/39, Mewp, Chipper, efaw+f) Based in Cumbria 07508688105 Many thanks.
  2. Hello everyone. I'm looking for odd days. I'm a forestry worker of 20 years who moved into Utility Arb a few years back and have now gone back to being self employed. I have a good size tipper and all my own kit plus insurance. All chainsaw tickets including windblow. Cs38/39 Ua2.2 MEWP, chipper , first aid+f I'm available to cut or climb and take away waste as needed. My chipper is currently being serviced but will be available soon. I'm based in South Cumbria and would prefer not to travel too far as some of my work at the moment takes me west to Eskdale and the A595 is not a fun road!. Thanks for your time.
  3. I'm based in Kendal and looking for cutting work, preferably employed, around Cumbria/North Yorkshire/Lancashire Qualified to Cs32 valid for 4 more years and experienced in most aspects of ground based cutting work. Excellent tape measure skills. Can count. Windblow proficient (done piece work on blow sites).Excellent log splitting skills. Can carve a mushroom but sometimes it does look a bit phallic. I'm not green or shy or wet. Any forestry/arb/tree care company looking for an experienced guy who can cut give me a shout. Own kit but looking for an employed role before I give up and get a little warehouse job or something. Would happily do a few cash on day (invoiced) jobs to cover any absences just to keep my feet wet. Thanks guys. P.s, I can operate a county and winch but so can my nan but thought I'd mention it anyway.
  4. I'm a 34 year old production cutter looking to join a piece work crew on established rates either by cube or ton. I'm very good at what I do and like to pick my own hours if I can hence the piece work. In six fills on clean decent wood I can fill a wagon a day with log. I'm also good at shortwood cutting I've cut more 5'6"s and strainers over the years than I care to remember and to be honest would rather stick to logs but nothing unusual about that for a cutter in his 30s. I'm tidy as anyone and pride myself on my rack looking perfect but not at the expense of production. Would love to join proper crew with a chance to advance on to machines but I'm not a 12 hour in a box twiddle my thumbs and call it graft kind of guy I'm a cutter as was my dad and grandad so skidders are more my thing (County power) and I have lots of experience cutting for skidders which is quite different from rack thins or clearfell as you probably know. Based in Kendal. Travel up to an hour. Cs32, 4years until next refresh. (I'm good in windblow though). First aid. PL insurance. Own stuff. This post may seem arrogant or arsey (and is a very long shot considering the state of forestry in England) but I'm sick of not speaking my mind it's gotten me nowhere over the years. I'm skint and my kit is getting old but I'm good at what I do and I'm having a final crack at it before I admit defeat and get a normal job. I would definitely consider an employed post but would need to be a good offer. Thanks for reading I really appreciate it.
  5. Cheers Hodge, appreciate it mate. Been a nightmare this. Got some calls coming but can't sit and wait like a chump.

  7. Experienced, ticketed with £2m public liability insurance and first aid cert. Bottom fell out of job due to start today so seeking felling work in Cumbria (im kendal based) and surrounding counties. Done lots of clear fell, thinning on F.C land, woodland trust and private. Worked alongside county and igland winch so lots of experience on that side (high leading/straight and offset pulls on awkward bankings). Lots of other lovely interesting work too. Can work day/tonnage or piece work all the same to me. All own kit. Cheers for reading its my first post and I'm not much of a scribe
