Working in the snow all day yesterday and yes it's cold when you get out of the car but after 20 mins of working , happy days and warm as a hot dog in a bun.
We have the best job I think.

The prices back home are horrific to say the least, I don't know how lads living off the saw make a penny with the price of replacements, service parts etc. I'm from a little place out wesht called Clonbur. Between the Corrib and the Mask.
Small world this , I worked in Petersburg outdoor education centre for 2 years going back many years , one great place to live (Joyce country:thumbup1:). Is the chipper still there , I went cow tipping for the first time just behind the payphone box.

Really nice job there Pat , if your good at some thing why not show it.

Get your saw in the UK , I'm in Dublin and the cost of saws and chains are just mad , I'm heading over in May of the weekend to Bradford and hopping to pick up a new pair of boots and other bits.
One shop here was looking for over €900.00 for 201T , not getting from me.

How many turns on a full tank ???

Sounds like a handy number , just put a canvas slid and away you go , had a job like that about 4 years ago , cutting trees above a glass smoking shed and they would not close it for a few hours.
P.S did put ply wood over and around it.
Good luck.

nice job, looking to do similar with the sleepers vertical for a retaining wall this year.
Did a retaining wall about 2 years ago , best way I found was put RSJ in the ground standing up right and drop the sleepers down , hope this helps.

When I did the CS39 , there was lad climbing beside me , at one point he was NOT roped in at all and the assessor seen him , told him to come down and sent him home on the spot , he probable saved that guy's life.
