Let me know when you get a price as I would be interested.

Where abouts in ni are you?

Thanks... I rang Scottish woodlands earlier.... Cheers

Your idea seems a good one. At 1m lengths people would be able to take away in a car or trailer and process at home. You would do well on gumtree with that one.
The fact that i have the equipment to handle a heavier load I was hoping to keep cost down and purchase a raw product and hopefully get it as cheap as possible.
Thanks for your input and i do think your idea is a winner
Can anyone else recommend someone who would have an lorry load in Northern Ireland????

Thanks for all the info guys.
Gareth, it might make sense to buy off gumtree but i quite like the idea of cutting my own stuff. Maybe madness!! but i would get job satisfaction out of it.
Difflock - when do you think you could supply me with a load>? Have you anyone who could transport?
With regards storage, vented bags are still my choice as i cant store all wood at my own house so need to transport and bags means no double handling. But thanks for the pic i will keep it in mind as i do have some apple boxes.
Cheers

Hi Guys,
I'm pretty new to this site but really enjoy the banter!
Can anyone advise me of anyone who could supply me a full load of hardwood in Northern Ireland? Or point me in the right direction.
I would ideally like an full artic size load but would consider smaller.
This is just for my own personal use so i also would like some advice on storage.
I was considering purchasing vented log bags for storage. I have a forklift to use where the logs will be stored. Can anyone advise how many 100/100/100 cm vented bags i would require for a 25 ton load?
I would appreciate some advice as to best place to purchase these vented bags
Also, after reading the posts regarding storage, would vented bags stacked on pallets in an open faced barn be my best way forward?
last thing, should i consider softwood as its a multi fuel stove i will be using it
in?
Thanks in advance and go easy if i haven't used the correct lingo !!

Thanks guys,
i was given the saw last year and from memory it has slowly lost power over a few months. I only use Stihl oil and mix at 40/1.
I have cleaned out the air filter and its hasn't made any difference to performance.
1. Am i looking at carb? is this something a novice can tackle? is it worth while to leave in meths for a few days?
2. Is it worth while to go for a 14'' bar or is there enough power for 16'' bar?
3. Should i try to play with carb setting before i try anything else?
Thanks guys
Has anyone got a copy of manual for reference?

I bought one if these off gumtree a year ago. Fantastic design and makes the work a little safer!
