    Spiking

Yea agree with all that, used to hate spikes, now use them almost every day, just a case of getting used to using them i think, but will admit still rather climb without them.No chance of that for a while tho, spiking icy poles in sweden
  3. I have anchored round some dodgy stuff over the years but will say one thing if you push it too much you'll end up like a dog eating bicarbonate of soda..........A dribbling mess on the floor!!!
  4. with you on that one its suprising what you can cover up with mud when ya learning

    Frozen Ropes

Had good fun today on the v.t. my friction cord turned to ice and and didn't want to grip at all.Must say its good to be scared up a tree its like starting again, got my rope next to the radiator for the big oak thats covered in snow we gotta dead wood tomoro
  6. mate you really need to work for a good firm and do a lot of watching and learning, you may be able to climb but pruning doesn't come overnight. You need to know the importance of good cuts and good decisions for what the tree needs, you will only get this from working with people with experience. Most decent climbers start off being good groundsman and a good eye on the floor, then they know what they need to be doing in the tree. It's not something you can learn from books or arbtalk you need to work with people who can prune before you'll be able to prune yourself.Good luck with it,get with a good firm

  11. hi mike the answer to your question really is nothing to do with gri gri, srt, micro pulley,vt,long prussik or kliemhiest. its really to do with how much you eat at lunch ya big fatty bum
