  1. Good point! Didn't think of it from that angle.
  2. Can't see many small independents staying with it. Just watch the prices jump post Jan 17 as it becomes a cartel.
  3. That'll be me signing off from BSL accreditation then: Dear BSL suppliers From 1 January 2017, all BSL suppliers will have to pay to have authorised fuels on the Biomass Suppliers List (BSL). Further information on the charges, including how much and when you will need to pay, is detailed below and is included in the attached information.
  4. Agreed, I almost bought the bigger one but imagine that in the pocket of yr climbing trs! Apple Watch is handy, make/take calls from yr wrist!
  5. Similarly, the establishment of the Israeli state should be understood within the context of it's conception. Fundamentally important to do so. I'm baffled that anyone could seek to justify or support a terrorist organisation masquerading as a government. Even more baffled and opposed at the prospect (broadly adopted by the harder left) to provide 'foreign aid' which is directly channelled to arms and aggression by that terrorist organisation (whilst simultaneously criticising the other side for doing so.) There are faults on both sides without a doubt. Expanding settlements into outlying territories by Israel is not acceptable IMO, but neither are the consistent attacks on Israel by the PLO - I have directly experienced PLO rocket attacks in Tel Aviv, suicide bombing in Jerusalem and was uncomfortably close to a Syrian border guard massacring Israeli school children near the border in the Golan Heights. Whilst the common cry is that Israel is funded by the West, similarly, the PLO / Hezbolla have their state sponsored funding streams too. I'm a million miles away from being able to suggest any real solutions, far better brains than mine have consistently failed - but I do know that simplistic (even tongue in cheek) comments like your previous are far from realistic or helpful. Accepting that it is a subject area where people can get very excited and animated, I don't mean to cause any offence either personal or to the broader audience, and I appreciate the opportunity to bat the subject around a bit with you.
  6. Finally got a response from HMRC complaints department yesterday. Just an extract: "...My review has shown that whilst we have followed our procedures, we have made mistakes. We have not handled your tax affairs as well as we could have done. For this reason, I am partially upholding your complaint. I have authorised a payment of £50 in recognition of the worry and distress caused by this mistake..." On the one hand, good news - acknowledgement and acceptance (in part) of HMRC fault. On the other, £50? Are you having a laugh chopper? Stand by for the claim which is going to need your starting point to be, add 2 zeros then double it!
  7. Discrimination on the basis of religion would be proscribed as a protected characteristic under the Equality Act 2010. No issue with that part of the post as you say - you treat them all with equal disdain as is your right. However, the suggestion that the lands of the State of Israel should be relinquished to Palestine is what I was specifically referring to. Of course the current situation is a man-made "problem." It's also hugely emotive and complex, but I'm just saying, off the cuff comments like dissolve the State is best restricted to the over excited, a little bit pissed and naive ranting of the idealist with total disregard for reality and should be left in the SU bar after people have grown up and emerged into the stark reality of adulthood. There's nothing in a statement like that which advances the argument for a "solution" and it has (IMO) the real potential to be interpreted as being distinctly racist in its nature. Disillusion of a State not a religion. Interesting (again, only MO) that here we see another example of "if I don't like the other side of the argument I'll call it racist" then I'm going to use (perceived) racist comments to advance my own argument but you can't call me racist.
  8. Classic Student Union bar revolutionary! Have a care though, such comments are sailing closer to legally defined "racism" than anything that's gone before in this thread (unless you're just venting off before moving to Germany where such sentiments are further restricted by law?) I guess it had to deviate towards Israel/Palestine at some point in a discussion about POTUS.
  9. I should perhaps of qualified my comment - I'm not sure I'd use it for TPO accuracy, but brilliant for a whole raft of other stuff!! Good share VMT!
  10. It's a lot of truck for the money! He's got 2 port cabin offices on the back in pic 6!!
  11. Start with the webpage of the area council you need - they're generally all different! (A classic example of bureaucratic inefficiency!)
  12. All depends on circumstance, there are times where straight into the tipping trailer and off to the tip is quicker, easier, cheaper and more productive. I've got licensed waste reception centre 10mins from home and at £60/ton for green, I prefer not to chip conny. Horses for courses.
  13. Bit of a shocker on the R&D front since the remote bank is supposedly a "plus" selling point for convenience / ease of dailies etc.
  14. On a lighter, seasonal note: https://youtu.be/VDVU_TGLJU0 Possibly, the funniest thing I've seen this year!! 😂😂😂
  15. Quality actor Ted. A pleasure to watch.
  16. Good old fashioned liberal democratic tolerance in full effect there. Some interesting historical observations in this: https://www.armstrongeconomics.com/international-news/north_america/2016-u-s-presidential-election/the-3rd-party-solution-coming-rise-in-violence/
  17. Have a look at these bad boys: The Dyson Pure Hot+Cool? Link purifier ? Overview Obviously there is a cost attached, I felt it was worth every penny so got 2 but there are specific reasons for that. Anyhoo, there's some good info about indoor air pollution on the webpage which is worth a browse.
  18. I don't have a problem with it either - because I can see it for what it is. You mention education in a later post, all I would say is that anyone with a minimal education (or just plain CDF) should be able to see the lack of objective impartiality that is being delivered by the BBC (not exclusively.) To put it really simply, that you seem to accept the message being delivered by the BBC as being OK, is the plainest example I can see that it is so heavily biased. Here, here! Agreed, 100%. Every minority sector expects and demands that their voice is heard, that their cause is just and that their lot is worse than anybody else's and anyone who dares to question it is a xenophobic, racist, knuckle dragging retard with a blue collar. What's happened here is that the (fractionally) majority sector has said "enough!" Just like the Brexiteers eh? I hope the media and the pseudo elitist self important folks that have nothing better to fall back upon than a tragic superiority complex continue to peddle that line..... It seems to be working a treat! Here here!
  19. The post election BBC reporting is even more biased than before - if that's possible. They seem to be totally focussed on the (perceived) negative effect of the outcome, and interviewing all the mealy mouthed whiners they can find. It would be difficult to justify 'balance' under these circumstances - they seem to be actively seeking the moaners, naysayers and doom merchants who must, by definition, be the minority of the population. It's a time for celebration and looking forward to a new beginning - draining the swamp would be a good place to start. BBC credibility as an independent and balanced media source is in tatters in my view.
  20. Did you make a conscious decision to go for the cut & hold option? I looked quite extensively at cut only and cut & hold. Discussed with Andrew from Exac1 and found myself agreeing with his logic that cut & hold on bigger machines was an obvious choice but for lighter base units cut only reduced the risk of having the machine on its side. My logic was that cut only would be sufficient since if it was a confined space I probably wouldn't be using the shear anyway. Interested to hear your thoughts on the 2 options.
  21. The 🍒 on top will be Hilary in jail! Trump said in his speech - we will work with countries that work with us. I like that for what it doesn't say.
  22. Ballsy!! Not sure I'd have the kahoonas!! 😳
  23. Sir Donald Trump, Knight of Camelot! Don tin hat and enjoy!
