  1. Had 2 Honda mowers, one stiga mower and a ferris to service ready for cutting season. New oil, air filters and blade sharpen, the ferris didn't start and found that it had sat idle for the winter, no fuel in pump, soon fixed. Out of interest anyone know how the blades come off one? Had to remove the front end after trying to undo them, managed to sharpen them without removing tho?
  2. Update on mine. Went out driving in her today and the rear wheels locked up. Figure 11 for about 6m. Not good. Checked handbrake that was fine, then checked gearbox that was fine, checked rear diff and it was bone dry, didn't know that if it was dry the wheels would lock up. Never seen it before so it was a first for me. Filled it back up, took 1.5ltr of oil to fill, then saw a big patch of oil on drive. Seal gone. Fiver from eBay, hour job to replace. Nice.
  3. That's one of those things, try something you enjoy a bit, if you don't want to go out that day then don't but make a plan for the next day to go do something. Don't get into a routine of not going out or that is where you will stay. The mood swings are also normal, I found that just walking away from people was the best option, if they know what is going on then they should understand. Moods come and go, main thing to remember so if you are in a mood then go with it, a punch bag is a good investment? Or a sandbag hanging from a chain is good also. I took up shooting clays, took my mind away from everything and gave me something to concentrate on.
  4. New carb don't even bother with it, carbs are always trouble, failing new carb get a 201
  5. Always get mound at around April time as I have not used any holiday up.
  6. Roman catholic, I do believe there is someone watching over tho, all too true proved as I asked for help to bring my son back to me and it worked............ Can't argue with it and never will all I know is he is here with me and that is all hat matters to me. I agree with each to there own.
  7. No noise on a Sunday until after ten in morn. Then have to stop at 8 for Sundays, weekdays are 9 till. 11.
  8. They wil only get permission to remove wind blown timber from any woods owned by council, unless they are registerd company doing works, I doubt it tho. Call the council and ask if you can get permission to remove any wind blown, if they say no then drop in that the neighbour is doing it?
  9. Could be cummins engine if it's old. Go to Vermeer.com, customer support and request a manual, some bits to fill in but they can send a manual and it will have the age of chipper on it. Trying to age it through the engine won't work as it could be different engine from when it was made.

    Rope care

I said near the burner, maybe should have said in the same room but not over the burner, had to dry ours out quick over night for the next day. So air drying is too slow over night, especially in the winter. So apologies for not being clearer.
  11. Go out buy a ready made one and show the missis with a smile saying look what I made.

Just use clean water. And hang them up to dry, near a log burner is good.
  13. My fat fingers on a touch screen keyboard are not working well together. Will stick to number instead of spelling the number.
  14. Nice pics, so what cost would be a standard cabin, one bedroom type job. Or one room with everything in it? Just curious as I have always wanted one but never really looked into it.
  15. Reallllllllyyyyy need to read it before posting, 20 quid for two chains, damn iPad I hate new tech and always will, bring back beta. Lol
  16. It's all about the recession. Lol. Maybe I am too expensive but then I don't do it a lot as I tend to get the pro users who sharpen there own and only come to me to get new chains off the rack. Had to sharpen the bosses 880 today, that took some time and I had to have a break half way before changing sides, don't like doing it and try not to.
  17. Didn't even tho something existed. Will be looking into this..
  18. That went a weeeeee bit wrong, but he made a good recovery after and that shows skill and not panicking after. So on that alone it was good.
