  1. To test the carb bung some fuel straight into filter end, if it fires then it's carb. Had this with an 088 turned out flywheel wasn't powerfully enough to give spark. A spark plug may spark outside engine but not inside. Try spuds idea. This will eliminate this. I know what you mean about fixing tools, get self satisfaction from it.
  2. Welding would not economically viable so it not worth it on a saw. Plus chances are it would still be a weak spot so if the saw was dropped it would just break again. Stack it for spares or replace with parts. Probably end up cheaper to buy a second hand one and use the case from that.
  3. I'm trying to work out how you came across this site with the words black mamba, and it's a German site???????
  4. Something tells me that tree should have come down a few years ago.....
  5. Not at all. I do my neighbours gardens when I strim mine, there only small and it's take minutes. Started when I strimmend mine and the girl next to me was having trouble itch the cheap electric Argos strimmers she had brought so I offered to cut grass. Got a tea from her and then the other side and a door down either side from them. Keeps me amused on days off for a while. Get to hear gossip from them all, and also if I start the saw up in garden or make some mess or noise they don't mind.
  6. DON'T BOTHER. Trust me they are crap. You don't get word docs and the like as it's not a Microsoft make its apple. I got one I'm using now and it's crap. All it's food for as surfing the web. The only way I can do proper emails is to do a draft on my pc save it to outbox, then I can go on iPad and use the draft that way to make an email. I use a three sim card from Argos and top it up like a mobile with my bank card. If you can go tesco they have them on the shelf that you can try. If not find someone with one and try it out. BUt try it out in a way that you would at work. Not just play with it. I wish I had saved some money and got a decent laptop.
  7. At least if you copy caddy shack you opwont have to mow it for a while...
  8. They will have to get through the missis before they can get there hands on me. Full riot gear will be needed.
  9. That should do it, but don't forget fertiliser, diesel, matches, bleach, antifreeze and pay as you go mobile. Should be the complete shopping list the other half gave this morn...
  10. Yeah they been doing it since terrorism act. What else is new.
  11. You should still have no problems that I can see with using the linkage, what would the overall length be if it was on links? Front weights will keep front end down but will increase tyre wear. Best to put it on and see if the front end lifts too much. If it does you need front weights but have to work out if you need a full set or only half, less is more to limit tyre wear. Can you get some pics up, I'm struggling a bit to what you mean by weight on linkage, do you mean weight on back and chipper on front or chipper on back and weight on front????
  12. So here it is I already new this fact and this is my argument, these laws have come about to stop joe public from pulling heavy trailers behind there car that is under powerd and underweight and having a stupid accident. Due to bad driving or under skilled drivers. So if you need a licence to pull 3500kg with car on roads why can a provisional holder drive a tractor and trailer on L plates on there own pulling whatever they like. And yes yes I know that a car can go faster than a tractor and it can go a motorways, but IMO a tractor pulling 15+t of grain needs a lot more concentration and skill than any car pulling a trailer...........
  13. Thought it was going to be about a game???
  14. Ok. So what about having an agri licence. Passed my tractor licence in college, done a trailer one and that goes upto 35t total. Tractor and trailer. Does this part also count for vehicles? Seems that grey areas are going to be seen on this, and if you actually get pulled for it are the police actually going to know themselves or are they going to guess and make you get weighed anyway? Only been pulled once in a tractor and that was when a trailer wheel came off with police following. They just looked at it all and asked what was in the trailer? Wheat was the reply and off they toddled when recover turned up to fix trailer. Lucky chippers don't weigh much over a ton then. So long as it is being pulled by something that doesn't bring the weight up? But then the playing ignorance always works well as these things are never reported in news that they are changing the rules and how many people would know about any change? Dvla don't send out letters telling you they are changing laws or adding to then so I'm sorry officer I was never made aware of this!
  15. Nice. Sounds like it wasn't put on right or a dodgy one from maker. There is a dealership in eastry, Haynes agri. They do jensons. How far in south east are you? Sandwich mowers is another although pricees can be high IMO.
  16. Couldn't agree more. Would love to see the little gobs go to war and see if they come beck with a different view of the world.
  17. Tractor will be fine with it. Not sure why you would need weights with it? Front weights are for heavy rear linkage such as ploughs or the like to keep front wheels on the floor. To stop some bounce or swaying use some heavy packers on the lower links between link arms and stops. Some machines have a metal wedge that can be turned around so as it lifts it pushes links to stop swaying, bouncing is due to road surface but a good driver can get rid of this effect with steady driving, it's more if pothole are hit at speed then the links will lift up in the air and crash back down again, again adjustment on top link will also reduce this chance. Fastrac will still bounce as the rear linkage is on the rear axle set up and not suspension. As such. And if anything it will bounce more due to the suspension. Been driving tractors for about 12 years now. A chipper is a paperweight compared to some implements. Just ensure all links are adjusted correctly and you don't drive like a bat out of hell on rough roads.
  18. What one and what is wrong with it?
  19. So glad I haven't got a fuel guzzler like a series 2a petrol land rover. I wait I have, oh sh....
  20. Cool for the heads up. If he has trouble see if he can try a dongle, or whatever they are called, I have one for working til I got iPad, plugs into side of laptop on USB port. Think 02 do them but I found the three network better, it's like a phone were you top it up and use the cred like a phone. No monthly bills and I find that it last a while. If you ain't got the top up you can't spend it. Bit of a money saving advise.
  21. Or how about out of 100 quid sp wnt on fuel 76 quid goes on tax????
  22. Petrol engine will run on diesel roughly but will run. Won't do much good. Diesel will not run on petrol.
  23. Just call it an extra layer to keep the weather off.....
  24. So how much are the top end ones compared to a low end petrol model?
