  1. So your good on a clutch then. Check oils, colour etc. test drive is always good, engage pto and make sure it works and also turns off. Check links work, if overdrive fitted ensure that works, check for anything that feels wierd with gear selection. And the brakes works ok. Also look for smoke on exhaust. I know they have an issue with build up and they can churn some pretty Nasty black carbon deposits out. Leave it running and see if any smoking stops.
  2. Is it the 4wd version. Remember something about the changeover between 7700 2wd to the 7800 4wd, it was the clutch didnt get upgraded by ford and they put a 2wd clutch on a 4wd heavier tractor. They used to chew the clutch up in no time, especially if it was used a lot. Hours is the engine running. If it was used for heavy work would steal clear. But as it only works on hours it could have sat in a yard with the pto on all day.
  3. Whats the best substance for cleaning chainsaw plastics?
  4. The way I look at it now is acclimatise, soon everyone will be used to the heat and when it gets cold the, "it's freezing how do you keep warm" thread will appear. Enjoy it while it lasts, soon be snowing again.
  5. Hayter mower done, had a ms200 in not the t model, clean, service. On inspection it had a small crack in bottom casing but was told not to worry as it had been there some time. An 020t with the symptoms of the 200t with dying on throttle, cleaned carb, adjusted screws, runs like a dream. Both got a sharpen free of charge and will be back with customer tonight. Also had tome to sort out the electric windows on my discovery. A very productive morning, now it's time to sit back and enjoy a pimms. Got to love the weather.
  6. All this talk of humping, I'm off to bed.

    poor pay

No fair mine also got wiped about posting swear words? May I politely ask why? Or did I give away how to post them? Just asking is all. If you are not looking for a job why post in the employment section??????!.. There are people looking for jobs who have bills to pay and are finding life very hard ATM. By posting about pay being stupid IYO it wil put off people that would want a job just so there house doesn't get repossed, or there water shut off......... IMO your actions were out of line and you should have reserved the right to remain silent over it.....
  13. It's a law thing, firearms are very taboo here and we have no right to bare arms, I'd we attack an intruder the intruder has more right than the homeowner, even with the new laws were we are allowed to use reasonable force is a joke. There has been one case were the homeowner has won recently but I doubt there will be any more. It is and always will be pathetic IMO.

    poor pay

In this climate I'd there much choice, companies are not taking aprentiships in, there is that many people out of work they don't need to train anyone as there are fully trained people on the dole. As far as I can see speech is still free. So if your not moaning about tree pay why post such things?
  15. Isn't there some specialist cream they make for that? Seen the advert with some rather overweight people advertising it!
  16. Agreed, I thought it was going to be something interesting, I guess you haven't got a lot to do tonight????? FYI who cares?
  17. not sure about teddys, try hot sweat covered ball of grumbling mess. Doesn't mean I don't work though

    poor pay

A bit of decorum would have been advised IMO, should have contacted Steve before posting to make sure. Pay is pay, take it or leave it. Realistically I'm probably on no more than 14000 annul, it's more about the benefits for me, the use of works trailers for clearing rubbish from my house, use of tools if I need them, and the use of workshop space. I'm happy for the pay I get and it damn well beats the dole, I would be a drunk or on hard drugs if I couldn't work and don't know what I'd do without it. We have a feedom of choosing what work we do and are not forced into working, I like working as it helps me sleep at night. Knowing I have put in a full day. So if you want to moan about any pay getting from tree work I suggest you stick to theatre work and leave it, I'm sure there is an unemployed Person out there that would jump at the chance to work in this industry. Sorry if the last post sounds crude or in some way out of line but it's the way I feel about it.
  19. Then chances are its not there's. Check with land registry, give them address they can check it out. Check with land owner off wood aswell, if they don't have the right to take it down there will be big trouble.
  20. I think your just going to have to bite the bullet and send it to a dealer, obviously everything you have tried hasn't worked and there is only so far a forum can go in helping.
  21. I would only have it in my bedroom, sod everyone else, thinking about only having it on about an hour before I go bed so the room is nice and cool. I have real trouble sleeping if I'm too hot.
  22. The only air con I get is when I drive machines. I say every year I'm going to get a unit in the house but never do.
  23. I hate to bring everyone into the 21st century but the are drinks that can replace the salt and nutrients lost in sweat....
  24. It will be somewhere around the anti vibration areas. You will have to have a really good look at we're the engine block type side meets with the handles. Should fit somewhere around there. Your right in it fit between the handles and engine, try on the outside tho, to cover a screw that connects handles with engine.
