  1. Yeah it's good. I got no problem with mine at all, famous last words. Was going to get a good look at it today and sort some rust spots out but had the grandson last night and I'm knackerd. Oh well guess its a day of dozing in front of the telly
  2. The body guard looks like his hand is somewhere it should be.
  3. Both as it turns out. Wouldn't kick either out for farting.
  4. I'm still joined to the Kate Middleton ass apreciation society
  5. I was going to leave it but this has me tickled. HISTORY that's all it is now, a once great empire owning half the world that we just gave back, look were that got us now! We have a small piece of land, no Ireland exept a small part of it, the Falklands, and the small pieces of land dotted around the south coast. Even Scotland wants nothing to do with us. We are a giant refugee camp. Sorry but my patriotism is well and truly gone with this country and it's one massive joke and is being seen this way by every country in the world. I have read plenty of history books and the blood spilt by our countrymen in the past means nothing now. England has gone soft and it's now our weakness, if another country was to invade us we would just fold, our forces would be out fighting some duff war and not be able to defend our own country. The monarch are spongers now, they make no decisions about this country anymore and should join the dole queue with every other sponger. But hey that's my opinion and silky didn't want this thread to go this way so now I am leaving it. Make what you want from the royals but they do nothing now exept showmanship. And the queen is German anyway so maybe people need to recheck those HISTORY books......
  6. How many times have people punched themselves in the face going to scratch there nose with the visor dwn?
  7. But we don't have a great Britain! This is my argument, we have half an island left. Anyway not wanting to derail the thread good picks silky
  8. My problems with the monarch and how I see them is probably for another thread, but I did like the way it brought everyone together. One thing that has bugged me a bit is why are we flying the union jack? England has no empire anymore so if it's British surely it should be George's cross flying! Or am I missing something. There are few things that bring this country together, football, Olympics, and a national celebration like the jube.
  9. Would go with above. Purely on wouldn't he chipper be at a high height for loading it, with brush?
  10. My brother said the same thing, he felt weird not putting body armour on when he got out of bed and would be searching for his rifle and helmet when half awake. It was funny to watch as he would get up off the sofa and have a look of confusion on his face looking around. Guess its force of habit, what I don't want to see is him diving for cover if there was a loud noise or bang.....
  11. I always thought about this when I was spraying crops, ever read and looked up the ingredients on chem bottles, it's enough to put you off eating anything grain related. But hey if it's never hurt me yet I'm fine. Steves missis veg patch I think not his. Organic on a veg patch is fine. Don't think I do much if any weeding on mine, if the weeds get bigger than the crop they get pulled. I call it lazy backyard farming. But then I have that much veg patch it could be urban farming....
  12. Yeah. That's the best to describe it. Mostly in low gear, when slowing in traffic then speeding up on throttle. Get some judder aswell. It's not massive that it's annoying but just enough to notice it. Worst is in first when lifting clutch, it seems to clonk on biteing then pulls away fine, then as I change up gear if I hit it just right it clonks. I haven't really had a good chance to get under her and have a really good, but it's nice to know a sort of check list to go though.
  13. I couldn't agree more. Buying organic is all well and good but the produce from an organic farm is a lot lower than conventional, if every farm was organic there would not enough food to feed the population, if you go back 100 years it was fine to not use pesticides and insecticides as there was a lower population, but there was still not enough for the population as the poor couldn't afford good food and got the crap. Organic is a lovely idea but impractical to follow.
  14. Organic makes me laugh. Was watching an episode of DIY SOS once and they claimed to be on a fully organic farm just as a sprayer went past on the background.
  15. Did you still find yourself looking for your rifle every time you got up?
  16. Don't see why! They have been spreading human waste on food crops for a while now, I used to have to cultivate it in, it's not a place were you get out the tractor to have lunch. It's all down to sterilisation, always read the label.
  17. I've had a look at them as I had this with a series. Had a good feel and tried to move them but I know this not always prove anything so when it stops raining and I get five mins I will unbolt them and check. Another thing I've found is it won't stay in diff lock, have to hold the lever in position. The light comes on and I can hear the diffs lock just the lever won't stay still when I lift the clutch. Doesn't really bother me as I haven't used it yet and probably won't, been out off road on some really rough tracks with deeps holes and she hasn't got stuck yet. She has had a two inch lift and got some rough tyres on. I just need to get a light bar for the top and maybe a snorkel. Waiting for some money to go into my PayPal.
  18. Coz two are old enough that they have moved out so I get enough space. Plus I'm not buying a minibus just to go out....... Some don't want to come out so I don't need to seat loads but I like to have the option that I can take most of the family for days out. Plus a 4x4 is perfect as it suit my job and family life.
  19. I have seen it before with large timber will stop the rollers when it hits them but only for a second as the rollers widen to take he timber in. Or when it hits the anvil it will stop just before it puts enough pressure to pull it in.
  20. I just done my research before I looked at buying one so i went on what was being said by other people it's not my words about what goes wrong with them, just done a simple search on google as I do before I buy any vehicle. And going on what has been found I went for the 200tdi. And I like it. Pulls like a train and to be honest is only happy when it has a ton on the back. Maybe people are wrong about the engines but there was too much being said about them to put it into a negative for me to buy one. And if I did and it went wrong I would not be able to replace the engine or parts quickly enough to warrant buying one.
  21. The engines are renowned for being problematic. They fail, the external parts, alt, starter, etc are substandard for land rover. The tensioner on the timing belt is renowned to fail, causing major engine damage. And the standard glow plugs fail. Everyone a have talked to said steal clear of the 300tdi if possible.
  22. Oh I've owned land rovers most my life. The only car I had that wasn't a landy and that was an Alfa Romeo, never again. Done the series thing, done the defender Thing now I've got a discovery. Seven seats so perfect for having 9 kids. Just Wounderd if the clunk was normal as I know the gearboxes can play up. But I did do a good thing and make sure I got one with the 200tdi engine and not the 300.
  23. Got a question for anyone with a discovery one. When changing gear is it normal to get a clunk now and again? Seems to drive very well but I get a clunk on 2nd and 3rd. Also getting into 1st at stand still?
  24. One of these was on a while back, was on a bigger lorry. Think it's aimd at recycling garden waste on the road. Just chuck it in the chip and it loads sacks.
  25. Although if it's on private land you own I would say you don't need qualifications. As its your land, but just remember if you have an accident it's down to you. I don't see a problem with learning to climb this way, i want to start climbing trees and and looking at using a mates land for it, won't be cutting anything just getting up the tree to see if it's for me or if I should just stay on the ground.
