  1. So like I had, one on the 3point linkage and 2 trailed? Is this still legal?
  2. I must emphasise this post is from being there, I knew nothing about arb about 7 to 10 yr ago. I was a mechanic who worked on a farm, met an arb and asked for some part time work, done a week dragging brash, and today I done my first own job. If you really want it you can make it happen.
  3. If its nptc, get the tickets, more desirable to an employer. Ask around any companies in your area, explain it and see what happens, you will start as a brash dragger either way. If you don't ask you don't get.
  4. So do I. It's more self satisfactory to me than working for others.
  5. So is that six then? Blimey, will there be enough to go round?
  6. Oh, I guess I'm a proper groundie then.
  7. So what would you define a brash dragger compared to a proper groundie???
  8. Well that was fantastic, I loved every minute of it and the whole job went according to plan, nothing went wrong and I thoroughly enjoyed it. There was a bit were I turned up in the morning and thought the trees had grown since I priced the job, and there was butterflies in my stomach with a thought that if anything goes wrong it is all down to me. But this soon passed and I got on with it, even the missis has said I have come home today in a better mood. Not that I don't enjoy any other work I do, just know that it's not my job an dim working for someone else so I don't get a say in how the job gets done. Most important thing was the customer was very happy with the work. Bring on the next.
  9. It's a new series, I've got to say it bored the poo out of me last week. It is a boring programme, it shows what forestry work is really like and the mundain workstyle it really is but axmen is way better even if most is staged.
  10. Hahahaha just seen that. Towing. Stupid predictive text. Anyone know how to turn it off? But then my posts would make even less sense, ok better leave it on...
  11. He said 4x4 with toning capability, didnt they a bike type thing you peddle?
  12. I have pulled 3 implements behind a tractor before. A shakerator, double press, and Cambridge rolls. Went through the middle of town with it all on as couldn't fit on country lanes back to farm, didn't get stopped and went past police doing random stops. I don't think they would even know how to approach something like this...
  13. If the wind didn't push that thing over I'd say it would be good to climb, not sure the rope would have done anything anyway, looks a bit weak to hold that up.
  14. That looks good. I got breaky in bed, a nice batman t shirt of my boy as he loves batman. Just finished a gorgeous roast, and I've been allowed to put my feet up for the entire day. Can't grumble about a thing today.
  15. Ok Steve I see your at the show next month so I will be popping over to get one.. Can you make sure you have fat man size with you. Lol
  16. So never been to an arb show before, been to many other type shows, but not arb, how much would be a reasonable amount to take? Not looking at buying saws, or large equipment, maybe a harness and some lines, climbing gear. What would you take in your pocket for these shows? Roughly.
  17. Cool, I'm going to that show next month so I will be sure to pop over and get one. Might even have a go at axe throwing, what size axe is it, need to practice you know.
  18. It was a show, not always about getting bargains from suppliers.
  19. Ryan. Where abouts are you? I'm sure someone would be able to give you a supplier or shop you could go to.
  20. So how did the tee shirts go? Did they sell well. If so what other shows are they going to be at?
  21. I was thinking transit. Will have to see what comes in the future, at the moment the discovery is a family car aswell, so I'm going to get the rear side windows sign written up and the hard wheel cover on back written up aswell. Should look good enough to show professionalism without looking tatty.
  22. So do I mate. All I have to now is sort some advertising out and I'm away. Want mostly word of mouth so monday will be a good start.
