1.
Chris, Yes Ty Unnos has one on his 835, and seems happy with it, cheers Ben

 2.
Chris, I took the plunge today and bought a Uniforest 35M after some more encouraging words from Ty Unnos - he would wouldn't he! Looking forward to having a go over the w/e. Thanks for your help, Ben

Chris,

I've seen a 3.2t Igland and 3.5ton Uniforest, agree the latter is a lot more beefy, and only £50 more than the Igland. So presumeably it will winch better but extra 90kg may reduce tractor's skidding ability? Do you think my Dexta with front loader ( about 1.9t) will cope with a 245kg winch? I gather that Uniforest is made by Krpan in Slovenia. Thanks for your help, Ben

Hi Chris,

Are you using the Krpan on the 28hp Landini (2840 weighing 1200kg?)? Do you have weights on the front? Thanks Ben

Hi Chris,

So it sounds like your enthusiasm for the Igland has wained a bit! I am attracted by its low weight, 100kg less than Uniforest 35M. Did you bend the Igland?! You say the Krpan is stronger, I see the 3.5E is 258kg. I wonder why it pulls better - lower gearing perhaps or better pulley angles? Many thanks for your help, Ben

 6.
Hi Matty, thanks for the v useful info. Good to know a 3tonner is a useful size. My Dexta's brakes are good, just been done. Sounds like it's worth paying the odd £100 more for a winch in good order. By remote you mean remote control? Thanks Ben.

Hello,

How do you like you Igland 3201 winch? I'm think of getting one. Any advice appreciated. Ben

 8.
Hello, I believe you have an Igland 3t winch on your IH275. I'm thinking of putting similar (Igland 3201) on my Dexta, which is roughly comparable size/hp with your IH. Can you recommend such a combination? We have a wood witha lot of windblowns, narrow access and don't want to make a mess with big machinery. Happy for it to take a year or two to get them all out. Any advice appreciated! Thanks Ben

 9.
Hello Tom, How did you get on with the Igland 3201? I'm thinking of getting one? Is it big enough? Regards, Ben

 10. Is your Hycrack still for sale?
