  1. £6 buys a good dollop of vaseline ....enjoy Mark
  2. The Chinese " big bore " kits are relatively poor quality compaired to OEM parts and probably less efficient and certainly less durable .
  3. Its Solo s answer to the Husky 3120 ....Solo 603 ? 680 / 690 ?
  4. Never " poo poo " another mans " poo poo " Black Adder
  5. As far as I know John Paul does all his own maintinence
  6. Its a mirical ! suddenly I can speak French ! . Maybe tomorrow I will be able to play the piano !
  7. I tend not to use the hexigan . Just use a drift on one of the flats on the clutch metal shoe . works a treat .
  8. It is possible to bolt on the bigger bore kit but may not be nesaserry . OEM stuff or Metior is far better than the cheap Chinese stuff . As said before find out why it failed . You may have developed an air leak which will make it run too faast and too hot leading to a lean nip up .
  9. Its a lefthanded thread . I find if you make sure the decomp is poped out fully , with a aluminium or copper drift and a mallet a couple of sharp taps and it spins off . Compression is usually enough I find . There will be some little indicators / arrows for direction to spin off and some little flats to rest the drift on .
  10. There is currently a thread by thread manual being compiled for the Ford 3600 tractor ( see " whats this lever for ? " )
  11. Should say " crush a bit " ......

  16. Dont suppose its the diff lock ....Nah forget I said anything
  17. Think its a " half latch " condition . You can do it with seat belts if you try ! v
  18. So , just to be clear when you say " leaving the decomp in " you are using it ? ( as in is venting and out is sealing )
  19. Got 32 in the shade . Obviusly way more in direct sunlight .
  20. I dont have an eyelet . See my pic of " jet cut " head in my first post . So dont ever suffer that problem . The fact that it was drizzeling helps as the line absorbs water ( hygroscopic ) reducing the brittleness .
  21. Plunge cutting is good with a blade . With line sometimes if find it better to lots of sweeps stood still gradally getting lower . This has a mulching effect but of course is time consuming and fuel consumimg . If you are able to cut it low and " lay it over " then fine .
