Mine is still ok but only ever had Aspen in it . Oil does seem to wick up the spout and weep a little .

I think the only reason a shorter bar and chain will go faster than a longer one ( for a given sprocket size ) is it takes less effort for the power head to spin it . E.G. When driving your truck it picks up faster when you are not towing the chipper . Same gear box , same engine .

I think that England spent the last 10 mins thinking about Australia rather than the Welsh who have a passion and determination that should never be ignored . Lesson learn t I wonder ?
