  1. JMI ? That has got to be superb ! Worth a few shillings too .
  2. Oh yea . Valve / tube all day long .
  3. Any one got or used an AC30 C2 ?? Got a Fender Blues Junior Tweed Rat and love it but fancied a go on the Vox . Like the built in trem and reverb ( saves on pedals ! ) ....any one ??
  4. The full cholesterol blow out ! Great once in a while but could not do every day .
  5. Mine has never been gutless towing . It drags a Jensen A540 about no worries . I have removed the interals from the DPF , blanked off the EGR valve and fitted a larger bore stainless exhaust .
  6. Got an 05 D22 . Change the oil and filter every 6K religiously . Its never gone wrong . There was a bad batch of con rod bolts from a supplier . # 3 would let go. It was a small percentage of engines but it only needs a few for the word to spread . Mine has been totally reliable and my mates 04 put a rod through the side . Nissan dealer gave him a new engine .
  7. Think that was my 390 Matty ?
  8. All the above really . Fire lighter under kindling , air slide wide open quick blast with a map gas torch door open a crack . Some people suffer if the stack is not tall enough to clear the pitch of the roofs and certain wind directions can cause problems .
  9. I remember that . It was gallons though , not ltrs
  10. If you were running the standard fitment " Techshite " bar then that is to blame for the chain derailing Try as has been suggested by spud and take it back ....
  11. Superb job there Metsa .Nice one . Keep em coming !
  12. Mine had 7.5" clay liners and the 6" SS liner was a real snug fit so I am thinking that is about a good as it gets ?
  13. Aspen wont keep the rubber supple if the coating has been removed by pump fuel , conversely it wont remove the coating if used from day one .
  14. The potential problem with that is .....The coating put on the rubber components ( carb diaphragm , impulse line etc etc ) to keep them supple is attacked and eventually removed by the pump fuel . The pump fuel its self then keeps the rubber supple for a few years . Aspen does not remove the coating but if it already been removed by the pump fuel it may then start to give problems Pershing and caking . . If you use Aspen from the get go not a problem. I changed all th rubber components in my saws when I switched over to Aspen .
  15. Yep . Don't know the ins and outs of it but it can be done .
  16. Its the " reversable " pay pal thing . Cash on collection only bud .......( and if he is deaf my cock is a kipper )
  17. Im lucky as I have both . Both ported as well . In real world terms the 395 is the stronger . Old school saw but if it aint broke ..... The 390 runs 28" 3/8 and the 395 runs 36" .404 .
  18. Use Aspen and forget about all that for ever .
  19. Fallen trees that are laying flat on the ground are ok . Its wind blown stuff that is hung up or tangled amongst others you need to be mindful of .
  20. I think its just the fact that the shorter bar and chain combo create less drag so the power head does not have to work so hard so may rev a little higher . If you raise the gearing by fitting an 8 pin you will get faster chain speed in fresh air but will sacrifice a little torque when in the cut which may bring the revs back down a little . Of course if you have an A/T saw its all academic as it will retune itself .
  21. Its called a " plug chop " I think . Bury it in the wood flat out and cutting hard then switch it off mid cut . Don't shut the throttle .Then check plug . You need to see how its fueling when working .
