If you cant fell them now , for what ever reason , space , time etc you may as well ring bark them to gain any advantage you can .

Spud ( Steve ) has ported most of my Huskies and they are way better than standard . I highly recommend him to all , he does a superb and detailed job .

Looked up on a parts site and the -01 number comes up as a Poulan flywheel complete but would not say what model saw. The -02 number drew a blank . Not much help I'm afraid ...

If you don't need to clear fell the sight then its a good way of " storing " your wood till you need it . Keeps it off the ground and the bark on .

I suggested the self same thing to a guy I was working for . I felled a few to get him started and said to ring bark what you want down to kill it and fell it when you need it ./ He liked the idea . After all dead standing is the best fire wood i recon. Elms a good example

Got 2 pairs in rotation for the last 6 months and no such problems . In fact they are wearing better than any other strides I have ever had . Hope you have a one off there and get them replaced soon . -
