  1. Staff are required for a project in Barnsley. CS31 and CSCS card required. Unfortunately Operators without CS31 and a CSCS card can not be considered.

You will need to supply your own Saw, Fuel and PPE and travel to site as it's not located near any public transport.

Pay is £120 a day for 2 weeks. Starting Monday 12/3/18

  2. Sorry I should have pointed out that the implement first has to be mounted in the conventional manner, but we utilised 3 hook ends to make this easy.

Then as described the Engcon Ec-Oil will allow me to fit and remove the whole unit in around 30 seconds from the cab, connecting both hydraulics and electrics.

If I can find a Timberwolf PTO Chipper for it, then it should only take a few minutes to switch from Winch to Chipper with the hook ends helping.

It's a very handy setup, and the Engcon system gets the best from it.

The Tajfun is the model with 540 shaft for Rear tractor mounting and 1000 shaft reversed for Front Tractor mounting which makes it very versatile.

I have a good friend on Motorway work, and I am planning a bigger unit of this type for him to run a rotavator on the end of his machine for finishing the topsoil on verges and batters.

This should enable him to place the soil slightly more roughly with the bucket teeth, and then having a rotavator under his Tiltrotator, bring the soil up to a suitable finnish for seeding.

He could even switch to a fertiliser spinner to place the seed if he wished?

It really opens up quite a few options?

    Eddie.

Ranskill hire has a new stone burier, leveller, seeder gizmo which goes on a 3pl. It could save hours topsoiling. Great for shifting but the 210 I was in last week was not the machine for levelling and finishing.

  3. We had that on the harvester crane. Downside is that you do have to check they work and not just over grease one part because the line is blocked or broken. Oh and the fun of the big tub of grease which always makes a mess changing it.

The ones I've used have been 4-5 standard grease cartridges each going to specific points with its own ram dispensing different amounts to where it's needed. Worked well.

  4. Blade in the direction of pull. Get a bucket on the opposite side. Dig both in. Maybe tracks off the ground. Strop around the blade. If you can, get the blade or bucket against a stump.... See what happens. Let us know.

  5. Hi John you could try the British Hen welfare trust they rehome thousands of ex battery hens tel no 01884 860084 south molton devon just off the m5 j27 and up the north devon link road about 8 miles from motorway junction.

    thanks chris

We've just got 6 from our local BHWT collection. 4 are laying now. They're doing a great job with the slugs! In 2 days they had their instincts sorted and were going away at night.

  6. Hi ALEX Come to the Somerset levels when we have the Dutch pump saying they will do 80 m³ a second thanks John

I can't remember the exact figure, think the Olympic slalom course with 3/4 pumps is 15/20 cumecs. Zambezi was 250 when I paddled that. Ganges was around 100.

An easy visualisation is to imagine it in IBC crates.

I'd love to see the size of the pump that sends 80 cumecs. Send the pipe over to the dart in Devon!
