  1. I run two Ivecos - both 3.0 chain driven. The interiors are good enough for me and loads of power, far better when loaded going uphill than the Transits. What lets Iveco down for me if you want to keep hold of them is the factory mastic underneath does not offer long term corrosion protection - although hearing another member talking about taking a new Hilux in for rust protection, maybe all manufacturers are not bothering too much - the vehicles should go to the scrapyard soon enough that they can sell you a replacement
  2. profundity what - he reminds me of Vespasian
  3. I don't have a log burner, so using up my yearly particulates allowance
  4. tidy up after overdue hedge trim - 15 years growth, next cut around 2040
  5. I'm asking if stump grinding with bits of wire grown into the stumps poses much danger to machine and opetator, i know a hedge flail is a different beast to a padestrian grinder, but remember hearing of a fatal accident with barbed wire being thrown at operator through rear window
  6. Ive been using a batter grinder on it but the biggest stumps are 14" with wire grown into the wood
  7. felled a line of trees next to fence, stumps have wire grown in, do people use a stump grinder or not risk it and ask for digger?
  8. don't be so hard on him - he's just getting used to the fame thing before the internet a bloke may have shared his thoughts with a few workmates, friends and family, nowadays you can type stuff knowing people all over the world might possibly bother to read it
  9. I wouldn't cut it down - the washing line is on there, that greenery on there is still making sugars for what remains of the plant - it wasn't a reduction at all, more of a crown removal
  10. sorry think the 4x4 Sprinter above is a 5 tonner, they do come up in 3.5, possibly what BigJ on here used to drive
  11. Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 516CDi MWB 4x4 Panel Van | in Vale of Glamorgan | Gumtree WWW.GUMTREE.COM - 57,583 miles - Direct from MoD - Medium wheelbase - GVW: 5,000kg - GTW: 7,000kg - 3 seats - Air con - 6 speed manual - Engageable all-wheel drive - Low range - Dual side doors -...
  12. I remember downloading D Lofthouse instructional video from Youtube on how to clean carb on 200T (in case it dissapeared off Youtube) just checking his site - about us page - looks like he's sold his goodwill to someone called George?
  13. there are some pictures of really nice trees in this free tree species selection guide, gives details about terminal heights, flowering etc https://www.tdag.org.uk/uploads/4/2/8/0/4280686/tdag_treespeciesguidev1.3.pdf
  14. It's not out of the question to fabricate the remaining roof section and add lockable barn doors, but to my mind something like that would say to the criminals 'something worth stealing kept inside' a panel van can get broken into too, but imo a panel van and a tipper is better than one does it all tipping van, I have 2 panel vans and a tipper, gardening, trees, hedges - I don't make a fortune, but the extra road tax and insurances are worth it for me to know I've got somewhere for gear and something to clear arisings, mine are all old and MOTs can be dear, but I don't have much capital tied up in them, or finance to worry about.
