  1. Sounds good mate, look forward to it! Yeah I'll camp over on the Friday. Pole climbing isn't my thing, but the 3atc looked good this year! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  2. Maybe someone can clarify this for me? It regards the subject of items being marked and identifiable. I get it with ropes harnesses biners etc. What about hitches? Sometimes I get through a hitch in a week, depending on what I'm doing. I make my own, rather than buy eye to eye hitches. I'm certainly not going to bother marking a hitch with a serial number at that rate. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  3. I'm booking the APF off so will be there for camping Wayne. Didn't get a chance for a decent catch up this time so I'll get you a beer in September. Might even have a crack at a comp too! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  4. I've tried it. Rubbish. Can't let something run easily so there's far too much shock loading. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  5. Funny how nobody mentions a climbing helmet. As has been pointed out you can manage with minimum kit. But you won't want to. I'd suggest: 37mm rope, 13mm Yale xtc is excellent to start with. Work positioning harness. Komet Butterfly is a reasonable basic one 2 prussik loops. Make your own to save money. 3m of Marlow Boa 9mm will do you 2 loops. 5m of any rope over 11mm for a lanyard. 3 TRIPLE ACTION (not double action as suggested previously) karabiners. Pick any. Climbing helmet. First aid kit Small folding knife And most importantly, common sense. You'll struggle to buy that though. The Tree Climbers Companion is a great book that should contain everything you need to know. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  6. Good man, I saw you yesterday with Bolam, but I didn't get a chance to say hi. Hope you're having a good weekend mate! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  7. T shirts at £4 a pop! Bargain! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  8. It's one I have to keep reminding myself of too. If I get fed up with a job it has a knock on effect for the other lads on the team. Good to meet you too mate, gutted I couldn't spend the weekend down there, but my missus and I picked up the keys to our new place today. I don't think I'd have been able to make up for missing that. 9. How little can you practically charge them? How much can you get away with charging them? Your answer lies somewhere in between. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  10. Keep a positive mental attitude. Some days the climber has the crap job, other days it's the groundy's turn. Sulking brings the whole team down. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  11. A THIRD!?!? I've only ever been able to manage one, myself! That must be what it means when it says "Supporting Members" under people's names. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  12. We could ask Steve for a sub forum for ironic same sex flirting/banter? Might get pretty lonely there though. It is ironic, right? P.s. Edited your quote for you, don't want Mr B. to get you for doing swears Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  13. Spontaneous shower sex and tea? Sign me up! Tomorrow I'll be using a topper without tickets, one handed! I'll be someone's señorita in no time! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  14. I'd need to see proof of your CS39 first mate. Don't want to make things worse for myself in prison. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  15. Yeah sure mate, here in Rugby we have proper gays, none of this southerner, eyebrow plucking, latte sipping stuff you call gay. We don't need any help with going full bar length. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  16. I use it at work when needed, if one of the boss's is on the blink. Muff modding is pretty simple, I can give you a hand if you want, once the saw is out of warranty Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  17. I give those lights a solid toe cap on my way into the garden. Saves my worrying about breaking them later on. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  18. I think mines 2012 and it's just fine. Better once the exhaust was opened up for sure. It's painfully slow at first, then after a few tanks it's better, and with the muff mod it's good. People can't get over the fact it's different from a 200. Mine has certainly been more reliable than a 200 though. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  19. I heard this, but they made an exception for me. Apparently prison has enough sodomy without sending my young arse in... ...whatever that means. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  20. Then put it back on! Your trousers will fit fine, and you can tell the wife that those pie and cider dinners are saving buying a new pair of strides! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  21. I use both, in stock form, and I also own a muff modded 201t. I much prefer the stihl. Yes, the Husqy has more power, but not heaps more. The Stihl feels much better built, will last, and is simpler to fix. I also dislike how the Husqy needs choke if it's been off for more than a minute, and the lack of a master control bugs me. They're both good saws, and with a muffler mod the difference in power isn't vast. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  22. You could lose or put on a few pounds. Cheaper than buying more trousers! Chip show lunches for the next couple of weeks should get you a perfect fit? Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  23. Congratulations dude, was it James that assessed you? Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  24. I use a distel and micro pulley on mine. Works great when it's free of sap. (I stick an inner tube over the flipline for real sticky pine dismantles). Make certain you put a soft link in the system somewhere. Even if you cut the hitch in an emergency the wire eye of the flipline will still stop it going through the pulley. 25. Think you quoted the wrong bloke, Treequip Edit: too slow! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
