  1. In all honesty I think eye to eyes are a waste of money. If you buy a 3m length of cord it'll make 2 hitches, and you can adjust the legnth of your cord so it suits you. Plus its a damn sight cheaper.
  2. I'm struggling to picture it! I'll just start messing around and see what happens Cheers! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  3. I currently use a 3:3 vt. Haven't seen that hitch before. Did you see the one in Jones' tent? It doesn't look similar to the VT I learnt. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  4. My boss chooses a selection of ground saws: Ms181 for general ground work, snedding, chipper saw etc Ms361 for mid sized stuff Ms460 for larger stuff. Anything bigger and we still use the 460 I can advise him on what we need, and the best option, but ultimately it's him signing the check, so I gotta respect his choice Did manage to convince him to get a husqy topper though :001thumbup: If there is a saw that I really want to use, I'm enough of a geek to buy it myself. I'll use it at work, or at home, but it's the grin on my face I pay for! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  5. Could you elaborate on this please Rich? I love my V.T. but for the fact it turns my rope into a 45m chinese chip. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  6. Wonder if anyone can tell me the type of hitch being used on the HitchClimber and RW demo in Jonesies tent. I remember how it was tied, and will try it out, but I'd like a name so I can check I remembered correctly!
  7. I'd love to pop along if I'm free Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  8. Dug out a mouse on my 41. Little bugger. Clambers all over you if you're shotgun in his wagon too. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  9. "Wrong limb" love it Seriously well done! It looked really disorientating, and totally different from the ground. Shame about that top anchor and rope, I wonder why you couldn't use your own rope and pulley? It gives me more confidence to have a try next year. Nice one Jon. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  10. So what your saying is staff get the B&Q Electric while Big Boss Blair prances around with his shiny Stihl? (biggrin) Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  11. Bailey? Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  12. I get my groundy to skip back from the chipper. Then later on in the transit I'll fondle his leg while I'm "going for the gear stick" A happy team is an efficient one. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  13. Yup. Then the little sods wouldn't leave me alone for the rest of the day. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  14. By the look of it the 3atc isn't as intimidating as I thought. I'll have a pop next year. Scary as it seems introducing yourself to other members is fun. And don't go home and apply for a credit card. I have and it will end badly! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  15. He took my training for 40+41 a couple of months back, he even had a little climb (once I showed him how to tie a vt )! He's an alright bloke. Doesn't like being questioned on his methods much though! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  16. Money we'll spent IMO Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  17. I prefer a Swing cheek on my lanyard as it takes up less room on my carabiner. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  18. It's been a good few years since I had him as a trainer. Didn't realise he wasn't well. I hear he's still climbing though. Edit: thought you were on about Matt Brooker. I've had Paul as a trainer recently. He is indeed still doing it. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  19. For slack tending, a cheap swing cheek is fine. For anchor points, rigging etc, don't buy anything except pinto. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  20. I'd recommend Matt Brooker. Stratford way. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  21. This wasn't an assessment question, it was in general discussion. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  22. That's what I had always thought, but who am I to argue with an assessor (who may fail me for belligerence)? Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  23. Cheers bud but I have one. I find the trick is to pitch the tent before opening any beers :001thumbup: Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  24. Sure will homie Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  25. Figured as much. It's funny, my cs41 assessor told me LOLER was every 12 months... Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
