  1. Nextbase 412GW are very good. not cheap but good quality and well worth the money for peace of mind. got one fitted in my Polo running 24 hours by hard wiring into car with fuse box adapter kit.
  2. Apart from auto life jackets and safety throwing lines think about bio hazards like leptospirosis, very unlikely but possible when dragging wood out of the water or working on muddy canal/river banks. CRT/EA have quite thorough method statements and risk assessments. In some cases a safety boat has had to be on site as well. Sent from my SM-G900F using Arbtalk mobile app
  3. Mostly motorway but I work on the canal you used to walk on. You are right the Worcester is a beautiful canal. So the journey is worth it. Sent from my SM-G900F using Arbtalk mobile app
  4. We currently spray or stem inject with roundup 480 on water side knotweed.

joined this a few years ago for help with a previous employer, well worth it at the time. Rural and Agricultural
  6. Yes you can, did my PA6AW recently and was allowed to use book for reference during the assessment.
  7. I have a vertex best and the husqvarna fit absolutely fine. They were quite a tight fit into the helmet slots though.
  8. Recently did my PA6AW it looks a lot worse than it is on the day, the assessor was excellent. The course it self was well laid out not to taxing and the course notes were not to confusing. The maths was the only bit that made me think a bit.
  9. Crane barge named Gloucester is based on the Gloucester to Sharpness canal and River Severn it is operated by the Canal River Trust
  10. Groundscare machinery, Builders equipment items in M.M Carter Gardens and Leisure store on eBay! What about one from here, I am told they are good
  11. If floating crane or craft unavailable the only real option is winch across the canal in small manageable sections. The under water bits are a nightmare to deal with. Small boat is a must just to access the bits under the surface. Don't cut at the bank until the end of the job. Good luck.
  12. We use a Kubota F3680 at work, very reliable and hard as nails can snap drive shafts if not greased on a regular basis though.
  13. The view from the yard last month, not much better at the moment. Thinking of all the unfortunate people suffering in the floods.
  14. She was fully clothed and seriously angry with her new ex boyfriend. didn't think she would be to impressed if I went back to the van for my phone.
  15. Does a twenty something female handcuffed to a tree count, sorry no pictures.
