I'm applying for my visa today! I'll be heading to Vancouver looking for work first. Any tips for getting set up evo? I've sent plenty of CVs out but most people are just saying get the visa, turn up and start looking.
Am in exactly the same position as you! It seems that the visa site has crashed so it's making everything difficult! I can't believe there is only 5,350 spaces available for the year!!!!! Good luck!

Hey guys, I have got a monkey puzzle tree to take out at a farm! The trunk seems fine but I haven't felled it yet and the question am wondering is does anyone know of any firms or people who would want the wood! It's about 20 m tall and 45 - 50 dbh! Cheers Joe

Had a bloke who said he had to dip the logs in water before burning them because they were to dry!

Don't worry, this is the 15th bone I have broken in 21 years am a bit off an adrenalin junkie but this is the only one I have felt capable with to do work if it didn't feel right I wouldn't do it same as climbing trees! It ways a bit awkward when you have to drive yourself to hospital as well! Got some good stories with them tho!

i lock my chipper on the van and i have a dog in the motor to greet the wanabe thieves
its pants how stuff gets nicked so much and none seems to apear on the market.
I remember a lad parking his range rover up near a football ground and a group of teenagers saying they would look after the car if he gave them £20. The bloke replied with " see that big Alsatian in the back, that looks after the car!" then the kids said "how good is it at putting out fires?"
Hate the scummy *****, it seems if they want it they will get it you can just prevent it as much as possible!

Alreeet? I am thinking of getting a new saw to replace my 357xpg to be honest there's nothing wrong with it I would just like a new husky because they are axing to use! The question is which one would you have because I like the 560 but am wondering if the 550 would still be the better choice because of the weight and price and tbh am sure it would cut fast enough! I would only be using it for bashing and felling small trees and for tree surgery bits like felling poles maybe even get an 18 inch bar? Cheers Joe

Its at Thielmere near Keswick, and were starting next week there will be around 6 weeks work! I am just one of the lads that is working there and my boss asked me to put it up on here to see if there was any interest. It's Eden woodland consultants there web page is Eden Woodlands - Tree Surgeons Carlisle, Cumbria, Lancashire and UK and his phone number is 07768307524. you would be best to give him a phone or an email to sort everything out!

Area is a big factor as well! People up north dont seem to pay as much as down south or even teams that live in big city's! I have 30,31,32,38,39, 41 and soon to have my MEWP and trailer licence and am on £8.75 and I have done the job for 3 years!

That's smart did you just do that with a chainsaw carving bar? I have just carved my first mushroom today pretty enjoyed it but its not the best using a ripping chain with a missing tooth on a 357!!!

Just got one of these, I think there a really good idea but am never going to be near one of the taps!

Everyone has a zombie plan they just don't want to admit to other people, incase they turn into zombies first !

I think I would have to be there to make the decision but it would be ether anchor into the tree behind and climb up it or use a crane! personally from the photos I think I would op for the crane!

I think it's a bit of both to be honest, I have got a supermoto for the adrenaline kicks !
