Just bought an old Farmi trailer and crane, the little ball joint ended rods on the controls are worn out. Does anyone know where this sort of stuff can be bought or fabricated? The UK agents are ending their relationship at the end of the month, no successor identified and Farmi in Finland a bit difficult to communicate with!
Thanks in advance if anyone can help

Hi Squaredy, I'm in Norfolk I'm afraid, a fair way from South Wales! Having said that the chap who bought the last boards via Gumtree got Parcel Monkey to pick them up!

I have 9 or 10 boards 12' long by 2 and a half inch Deodar that I felled and bought a chainsaw mill to plank it because it was too good to ring up for firewood. Sold a bit via Gumtree but have about 40ft3 left if anyone is interested

Really love the sideboard, I didn't think Deodar was used for such work, more cladding etc. I have quite a few 12' boards about 24'' wide from a Deodar I felled a few months back if anyone's interested?

I tipped chip at the golf centre at Blofield a while back. They had done a heap of landscaping and wanted mulch
Timber crane hydraulics with John Deere

Does anyone have experience of John Deeres on timber trailers? I have just fitted a new valve block on the crane trailer as the old one had more leaks than Downing Street! The JD 6400 has closed hydraulic system and I wondered if it is possible that running the crane directly from the tractor hydraulics was the reason the last valve block failed (it was pretty well used as well). Is there something that should be done to the valve or the tractor to ensure a happy union of the two? The crane worked fine directly off the tractor but I had heard tht it may be wise to make some alterations to the ports used on the block? Any nuggets of wisdom gratefully recieved.
