I’ve had both but the 560’s all got scored pistons through auto-tune/fuelling issues.
The 562 is a great saw but I’m surprised to hear that it’ll rip on a 28” bar... fair play.
    Mine runs an 18”

Yeah, we ran ours on an 18 originally but for reasons we put an old 28 bar and new chain from a 395 on and were surprised how well it worked, now it's one of our go to saws for in the tree with that setup (actually we fight over it for felling to). Keep thinking about changing  our 560 to 3/8 and trying the same on that. Maybe I'll post a video of it if I get time. Actually the other week I 1/4ed a 3m oak log to lift out with it.

  3. we seriously need to clear some pace in our yard.

if anyone nearby wants to come and help themselves to the log mountain please get in contact.

you know the stuff, chugs, rounds, soft, hard, short, long, bent, gnarly, dead, green..... all the stuff we cant send on the lorry.

    cheers

    Brett

  4. It's got so bad they'll be fitting machines with revolving doors soon to get the seat fillers in an out quicker until they find one that's not a chancer!

I foresee some changes as the Aberdeen bypass has produced an unbelievable amount of incidents relating to Plant and most fingers point to having the ticket and not an ounce of experience.

    Eddie.

We did some work on the Aberdeen bypass. I stood and watched a young guy on a massive 360 with mulcher head, we have a saying up here, coo wi a gun. Clearly no idea what he was doing. However the guy just over from him from mw groundworks on the fendt/mulcher was superb.

  5. A couple of years ago some mates of mine set up puzzled monkey arb supplies in Perth. The plan was good, however no one came. Everyone complained prices were more expensive than online so they shut up shop after I think one year or so, sgm couldn't make it work. Plumbers in Kirkcaldy sold up and shut the shop because not profitable enough. All our small local dealers complain of lack of trade. We bought 3 saws and a hedge cutter recently from our local husky dealer and they said best trade they done all year. If we don't support them they will go away. No one's going to open a big arb supplies in Scotland unless they can instantly be in the same league as honeys/frjones/etc.
