  1. If the tree's going, there's going to be a hole in the driveway. So they might as well get the driveway rebricked. If they're getting the driveway rebricked, they might as well get the front wall rebricked at the same time. Big chipper and 40 yard RORO on the road. Cones. Fell. Work fast. Gone before the council arrive to fix the pavement. One man. Half day. 500,000 drachmas.

  2. Local council is always worth asking they often have a load of second hand ones about for a reasonable price.

Failing that plenty of companies selling them if you google "used wheeled bins" most you will have to contact for a quote as price is determined by quantity purchased but a few such as OPSA in Debyshire will list the price on the site (£15 each in this case, 100 available).

My google fu must be weak because I googled and found nowt! £15 sounds tolerable,

  3. Mature student finished for the year but have my digs in Sunderland until June 20th. Looking for work until then.

Happy to climb or ground. Or indeed do any outdoor work a fit, intelligent and practical 27-year-old could be expected to turn his hand to.

I don't do being late. I don't do heroin at lunchtime. I do do hard work.

I come with top handle, climbing kit and the usual odds and sods.

£130 a day within 40 miles. Happy to go further for more money/several days in a row (I have a campervan).

Please call or text. 07929 855913.

  4. Slightly sore political issue if you aim to come to the UK: A lot of people here would take issue with being primarily described as part of the EU. We generally like to see ourselves as slightly detached and distinct (geographically and culturally) from the rest of the continent of Europe (whether members of the European Union or not) but many here especially don't like the idea of just being a charmless cog in the homogenous EU superstate. Many here hate the EU umbrella.

That aside, the UK is quite simply the best place in the world without question and you'd be very welcome! Good luck.

  6. I found these on youtube and thought they were worth sharing. Nice change (Hunicke et al's fine work notwithstanding) to see something not filmed with a headcam and done with a bit of cinematic delicacy.

  7. Hopefully to whom it concerns,

A job is apparently ongoing just downstream of Brignall Mill on the River Greta near Scargill. Maybe in Mill Wood or Hening Wood.

    https://www.google.co.uk/maps/place/Brignall+Mill+Cottage/@54.4961584,-1.9307531,16z/data=!4m2!3m1!1s0x0:0xb990f5dede7b8502

Not sure what the job is and whether finished or not yet but there is a fair amount of stuff in the river. The river is popular with canoeists. Trees in rivers are very dangerous for canoeists.

Would it be possible, whilst the river is low and while trained men with the right gear are there, for the trees to be cleared well onto the bank please. It's an easy 30 mins for you or several hard and sketchy days for paddlers with handsaws.

    Thanks very much.:001_smile:
