  1. As the title says I'm on the hunt for a tractor and timber trailer. I'm starting to get bigger jobs that require less hauling with the Landy I'm open to suggestions or if any body is looking at up grading then ping me a message. Funds sat waiting. Simon
  2. Not sure if you did it but after your gob cut try and cut the ears off a bit. It saves the strong sap wood holding to much. And at that height it doesn't wobble as much. Not sure if you get what I mean
  3. My advise.. Sort you insurance out before you tackle any more.
  4. Ok on a brighter note, if the shower rape happens at least you won't get pregnant.
  5. Where does your neighbour stand with regards moving? He may have signed a stipulation in the selling contracts that plants and trees stay with the property. It may not be him that is annoyed but the potential new people moving in, this may have up set them and risk pulling out of a sale. I may be wrong. You and your friend could both go round, have a cuppa or beer and say say we spoke. If he is still annoyed then I'm afraid it might be take it on the chin and agree a replant of three trees. I suppose lesson is try and get every thing in writing or email even if they are friends.
  6. Looking for valtra with roof mounted crane. Or valtra without crane. Send me a message if you know or are thinking of selling/upgrading. Funds waiting. Simon

  11. Any body got any ideas what's going on with these leaves
  12. I was lucky enough to be demoed one last week. Helped a guy with feedback who does a lot for dmm. We used it on poision ivy and it was great. Seemed to get massive travel for very little effort. I agree very jumpy at first but with practice it came good. I didn't try adjusting the one we had to much as it wasn't ours. The "bird" at the top needs to have a slightly wider top I reckon as it would be better for grip on the descent, that could just be me. Great bit of kit. I'm available for more demos mr rope runner if you are interested
  13. Get on with it or go hug a bunny. Cuddling trees doesn't pay bills. That's why we do it all. It's all what the customer wants. There the ones paying at the end of the day.
  14. Happened at half 4 in the afternoon when I pulled up outside my house. I was out of my truck for two mins. If I was mr tickle I'd carry them everywhere but there are times when things have to be left, I was due to go back out to work so didn't feel the need to unload. Wish I did but hinds sight is a amazing thing.
  15. Had my truck broke into at the weekend and the low life's took my top handle 201 brand new ms441 leaf blower and my helmet that stank like a tramps arse. I'm thinking of putting a mini tracker in some of my gear. Has anybody else used them or had success.
  16. Got on bein felled in a few weeks. About 20" diameter. Not tall but might be of some help. Where are you. What size as I have a few bits at the yard
  17. Ok so as the total says, I'm on the hunt for a tractor 100hp or over. Budget would be about 15k with vat. Does anybody have one they might be thinking of selling. Would be mainly used for tree surgery work with a large dump trailer for arb waste. Will get a timber trailer when one comes up for sale. Saying that if somebody has a trailer or a tractor and trailer then the funds can be there.
