  7. My main reason for not cutting into the base of the tree to examine the amount of heart wood at the base was because my lack of knowlage with regards the best place to cut and potentially making a mistake with the use of the root plate, It can be de attached so people can see if required
  8. Yes only just getting round to sorting it out Also avaiable some nice cedar not to far if it helps somebody
  9. Large piece of walnut available. Approximately 40foot long. Windblown so the root plate has lifted nicely Selling on behalf of customers so open to offers Access is a pain but can either be milled on site or can be extracted through a farmers field Simon
  10. Wife has a 1 series but we own a woodland so the one series is useless trying to get up the tracks. I'm also tired of the bone shaking and the lack of space for kit. I'll have a look at the 130 now Plus at the end of a long hard day there is something nice about the thought of getting in a comfy vehicle and heading home I must be getting old
  11. So I've now fully decided to sell the landy 110 tipper, She has been the back bone of the business for the past few years. The tipping gear has made life so much easier and quicker, not the most comfortable to drive but a pleasure to own Come to the decision as another little one on the way in August means no room for two. And myself So I'm on the hunt for a crew cab pick up. Looking at a hilux 3.0 litre with the intention of converting into a tipper What's people's thoughts on them? So landy is on arb trader but I think the pictures have been muddled up. If anybody is interested I can send images and info over Simon
  12. I can give it to you in three words "don't do it"

  14. It's ok, had a few jobs. Managed to get a negative feed back because I refused to fell a TPO birch tree. Customer had been refused so said to me " just fell it and I'll take the fine" My response was a quick phone call to my tree officer informing him of his intention. I then got a email on rated people saying I had feed back. It read don't use this contractor Was annoyed by this, unfortunately I can't remove it. I left a response saying "thank you for the comment but our company has guidelines to follow with reference TPO trees. Can get good work but a lot of fucktards out there

  16. May have had a similar thread already, Customers ask me to log some wood today on site. " ohhh don't worry I can take a good 12 inches possibly 13 at a tight push" had to go off and hid for a few minutes to compose myself . What other funny ones have you had then.
