  2. Warm and wet with a brief cool spell around New year.

I will worry about not selling all our logs but all those folk who have nice new wood burners will run them regardless of how warm it is and buy all our logs.

Jon will make some incomprehensible posts and Eggs and stubby will decipher them for us.

We will fight as to what is the best chainsaw and TCD will tell us it's a Dolmar

    GOOD POST :thumbup1:

  3. how does the 100km /62 miles thing work out ? as what i mean is if your journeys working/driving day amounts to more than the 100km/62 miles a day driving to tip back to base etc etc it only gives youy 31 miles each way thats not very far if you do a double run for any reason or can you drive as much as you want within 100km/62 miles from base each day etc .

also if you could drive 100km/62miles whithin your base there are plenty 7 day aweek guys in this job running about tired with early starts hardwork longish hrs it all takes its toll or am i way off course and wrong ???

  4. hello brian just looked over your wood store picture and maybe and i might be wrong but how about leaving a bigger air gap against the wall so your wood can breath and air dry out

as i see it any water/damp/moisture from that wall could be migrating into your wood store also try stacking your logs loose'r in there pile more airgaps etc only trying to help you out

  5. bent hitch i had same problems and stripped it out and had it pressed straight again works ok now

how i bent mine was driving down a very steep grass bank with a heavy loaded trailer and with it being a pin hitch something had to give because the trailer was still up the bank and the jeep was level so the slide tube bent slightly causing the brakes to stick on etc etc

  6. Two or three nights worth! Thats efficient, that would go in my rayburn in 1 fill.

This is mine, we get through a lot as its doing central heating and hot water as well, I made the two log stores when we were renovating the house by boxing out two alcoves and re-opening two very old bricked up window openings. We load them from outside and collect from inside, keeps the mess down and lasts a week or so.

keeps thing tidy i like it :thumbup1:

  7. I also have this very close to outside my back door i just tow it back to my mates plot and refill it. This system has worked very well for me last 3 years of having a wood burner fitted and saves a lot of handling the logs & also when the winter/cold season is over i just tow the log shelter trailer back to the plot and store it there for the summer etc
