  1. i,ve given loads away as gifts or when folk have no money or heating on the blink etc i believe in what goes around comes around etc" look at you load of rabble on here lol you have help me out no end one way or another and will never ever forget your kindness you know who you all are very grateful i know i'am of topic now" but yes its a good idea as i'am a big softy at heart and would give the shirt of my back to help folk out

  2. try the easy rout first check for warm heater pipes if not remove a heater hose and crank the engine that will confirm waterpump is pumping water throw a new thermostat in if it does not reach running normal running temps and also try flushing your cooling system with a cup of automatic washing powder with hot water mixed pour into you cooling system and run for min 3 days/week then flush it again refill with 50/50% water antifreeze

all this advice will do your motor good so your not wasting time or money hope this helps PS add more washing powder 25% if you have hardwater it wont do any harm to your cooling system mostly used this idea when headgasket/oil cooler has gone and oiled the cooling system up or you have rusty dirty water in your cooling system

  3. i have a honda gx340 on my splitter and couldn't set the carb engine stank of fuel etc in the end it was the spark screen sooted up causing blacker engine oil used lots more fuel as i was compensating for the fault by trying to give it more revs etc making it worse .

Now its transformed with the spark screen out i can adjust the carb e/o stays clean longer and as for the fuel 5/6 ltrs a day now brill

  4. if you can get at the relief valve check it over it could be fouled one way or another ??

ps i have seen the relief valve spring shimmed with thin washers to raise the oil pressure a tad .Also your oil pressure switch if its electric some put low oil pressure light on at 7lbs and some 11lbs hot on tick over on the old girls so if its around that ticking over somethings a miss

  5. yes i understand what your all saying but in reality if you added the overheads up the cost would out weigh and profit so whats the point of the show. In the real world its impossible to do rent or rates wages spares etc etc etc its not reality be honest who has a free garage tooled up payed free wages i wished lol

  6. you should know by the vin tags and reg or look at the glovebox manual for transmission codes etc if its pain on grass etc just buy the rite van and sell your own on again sorry if its not what you wanted to here but it's an option for you .The transmission codes will save you time looking for a diff but like i stated already you may be wasting your money on tyres till you sort the drive-train out there is a iveco breakers on millers bridge bootle steve kewins old commercial breakers yard next to bootle car n commercial motor factors

  7. This is where i get shot down in flames now!!

Am i wrong saying you haul/transport your logs you process/dry them all the same costs overheads/hardwork ££ etc is all the same costs to process whether it be hard or soft so why not just mix it as a stove mix one price etc for stoves end of etc >>> i know open fires are another thing but there is nothing wrong with softwoods all the stories i think are old wives tails

  8. i would think your better off with what you already have! . As your van is basically one wheel drive by the sounds you would be overkill for no reason as you have no difflock no l.s.d no 4x4 etc etc .>> so at most would fit 2 50%x50% on off road to the drivewheels only but dont good mad on aggressive treads they willdrive you mad on the road whining/humming to the point you have no earwax left in your head they will also churn/rip your customers grass to bits and then spread it down the road and stonechip your wheel arches >> been there done it got the teashirt. Just go for half n half cheap to replace etc not overkill it would be a waste of money

  9. take a wheel off or remove the 2 bolts that hold the hitch inplace both only take a few mins if its parked up a lot and a big decent bikers chain to chain it to another trailer & block it in

if they want it they will take it i've had to weld postcodes all over mine even inside the wheel rims to proove its mine if its ever found oh and leave it scruffy or a crapy paint colors too

  10. I think your spot on i burn any wood that comes my way any type of log as long as its dried

out etc .At the end of the day it would be criminal to burn quality timber chopped up for firewood etc its an end product so no waste etc green all round

and your saving on gas n electricity too
