Tell him if he want to pay for it all to be located else where then it's no problem but until then I'd just ignore him it's only his preference.

North County Antrim.
Stihl
Softwood
(i) Stihl is in the blood
(ii) Stihl dealer is much nearer, and the gossip is MUCH better.
(iii) Also possessing a tremendously good covert view of the fuel pumps, to admire the attractive and summer dressed ladies en-route to Portrush.
(iv) back in 1996/7 Stihl's range was so much smaller and very much easier to understand than Husky's bewildering range of overlapping cc saws.
Sorry Husky
They defo come out when the sun shines

what you mean heavier border? taller thicker rail? or??
didn't go for a taller border as it would have looked daft and out of place.
Yeah sleepers were kind of what I had in mind. Or of something similar but that's just my personal preference if it was my garden.

Looks like I am going international now, sending out a repaired saw to Sweden:thumbup: Already done a couple to France and repairs as far afield as Isle of Mull, Isle of Man, Scotland, Cornwall, Wales....not done Ireland yet!
Just got the last MS200T to tach, the MS260 to tach and the 372XP to port!
I have a future 200t needing work so you can almost scratch that off n.ireland!
-
I personally would have went for a heavier border good job nonetheless look forward to seeing the end product!

Loving the detail on the dog! did you use tar oil?

Ok i can see that if this is just a reccy climb and if yo like your gadgets n toys etc to play with thats within your own right but try this as a working climbing set up. assembling and disassembling. it just wouldnt work. if you dont trust your petzl then go for a harness that has side dees with webbing for a bridge and if you dont want to use that then tree climbing just isnt for you i guess.

It has little value yes but is better than nowt surely

I think it's a good idea. Weeds out the bluffer s.

In a nutshell I think it would be a lot better to leave the OEM gold rIngs in place.

We were chipping Beech, it was nice stuff all clean and the next door wanted as much as he could get of it.
-
Save yourself the money and sell it on again and buy a decent saw. Will save you money in the long run!
-
We use a 241 its a 2010 model and its a nice little saw. Had it about 3-4months now from new and no beat skipping at all so far seems to be a robust enough saw. Would I purchase one personally? Yeah I don't see why not.

The past 5years have flew for me hitting 26soon!

Go for it! I don't know how many times I've dropped my chainsaw in a river and it starts up again. It was 260. Dropped both running and off. You can't get much wetter than that but yes stay away from the carb.
