  4. Frustrating - Done a Husky 51 for a mate on friday. He took it to MST who removed exhaust reveiling light scoring. He was told beyond economic repair and would he like to buy a new stihl or makita.I drained fuel which looked too oily and refilled with Aspen and it ran.It would not run well at full throttle but after 10 minutes with the tiny tach i was happy and phoned ready for collection.Mate arrived sat afternoon so I started it up Ok but wouldn't idle then wouldn't start:001_rolleyes:This morning fired on the first pull and ran on the second.Compression tested at 145 psi and plug and coil tested good.I reassembled saw and increased idle speed from 2500 to 2600 rpm.Went and cut some wood.Saw runs well - 8 x 325 sprocket, 21LPX chain and 15" bar.
  5. Yes - Did a 290 couple of years ago - same symptons but just a split fuel line.

Two of my favorite eating apples in that cross.Beauty of bath is very early - can eat last week of july if the blackbirds don't get there first. Logged up our last worcester pearmain this summer - it split in two a couple of winters back and although it flowered this year the dry spring finnished it off.Streaky with a bit of russet if I've got the right tree. Must replace it with a discovery.
  12. Two Defenders with ladder racks:lol:

    365 to 372xp??

365 Max rpm 12500 372 Max rpm 13500 So even if it was the same carb and basic setting the H jet could be leaned. My 365 Special was so rich when it came it would only reach 11800:thumbdown:
  14. My Ifor came with 195/50R13 Avons which have all been replaced with maxmilers, trailermax or compass tyres. The tyre fitter says they dont last because 6.5bar(95 psi) is too much when unloaded and they bounce around alot. 185/70R13 should carry more load or same load at reduced pressure and still fit your same rims.Tyre radius will be increased by about 30 mm.

  17. If you want a ladies gun - get a 20 bore
  18. I was speaking to a very embarrassed Husky rep at C.R.Willcocks tonight - seems to be a combination of two problems 1.The recommended electrode gap doesn't suit the spark plug.(too large) 2.A faulty batch of pistons machined to the wrong profile and dimensions.
  19. Does this saw actually have a chain brake band around the clutch drum ? I have an old Jonsereds 361 (cc1982) which never had a chain brake but there is a guard in front of the front handle which looks like a chain brake lever.
  20. Mother badger gave them a leg up , so they could drink , back when it was dry , then they couldn't get out again. I've heard of cubs being tossed in to cattle feed bins by their parents.
  21. Lodiswell - £100 Salcombe - £300
  22. Aarrow EV11F and leave all the room doors open Oil converted Rayburn heats the water and kitchen but boiler too small to run radiators:001_rolleyes:
