  1. Yeah fair enough, you clearly know what you are up to.

     

    I would not want a Trekkasaw personally because of the wide blades.  Cost a fortune to buy and sharpen and really no better than a narrow band like on a Woodmizer.

     

    A swing mill is a good bet, but of course if you mainly want slabs you are back to chainsaw milling.  The Pieterson has a neat trick to produce a double width board, but only about twenty inches I believe.  I used to run a Lucas mill, but eventually bought a band mill.
