Hi Derek,

My FFIS application is being processed, can you remember approx.how many weeks it took for your application to be processed. I have phoned DEFRA to try and get a progress report, but they were no help at all, they just said applications are sent to offices all over the country for appraisal!!!

I sent mine in March 6th ,have since had an email 2nd April, to say it is being processed.

Thank You,

Nigel

Hello Difflock, thankyou for your tips for using a winch safely. From what you say and I would have thought so to,it is a lot safer to use the cable pulley block in the lower position on the Farmi when winching large Beech tree trunk sections, (say 4ft dia by 6ft long ,or is that too long) up a steep slope. To use the top pulley would surely be EXTEMELY dangerous to say the least. Any comments however blunt and to the point appreciated, tractor I have is MF 390 4WD front end loader NOT a 380.

Cheers,

Nigel
