  1. We run two Defender 130 tippers, we also have a d Max tipper and a Ford ranger tipper, the d max and ranger have far better comfort but when it comes to their capabilities off road they don’t even come close to the Defenders, the strength of the engine and box when going down hill off road with a weighted trailer, you just can’t compare it with any of the other 4x4’s. If you keep on top off them maintenance wise they are no trouble.

  2. Think of it as an Arisings Carriers Licence:  VOSA will only have your word for it that the logs are for resale when you could really be looking for a convenient layby because they're waste to you.

    It's online, it's free - why not?

I've been in business for 17 years and never had one, I was pulled by the police a few years ago for having a light out on the trailer, only time I've ever been asked to see a WCL and after a short debate with the officer we came to an agreement that it wasn't waste and I was allowed to continue on my way.
IMO having a WCL will never stop illegitimate ones amongst us fly tipping.
  3. Most importantly you need a insurance company to do what you pay them for as quickly as possible, we have have 4 claims aswell as a vehicle stolen in the past 10 years and cannot fault the service from the NFU, the longest claim took two weeks to sort out. In one of the claims there was a trailer involved which was written off but that was insured with trust under our plant insurance and it took them 6 months to settle the claim after loads of stress and messing around arguing with them.

  4. Hi

Does anybody know if there is a special tool for tightening the exhaust bolts on the husqvarna 3120xp. Both of ours have both gone down with the same problem in the last couple of weeks. First one was put on the bench by a member of staff saying the baffles had gone, after taking a look both exhaust bolts where missing, also after checking the threads in the head they where gone so I've had to helicoil them. New bolts have come but I can't get anything inside the exhaust holes to tighten them.

Any help would me much appreciated

    Regards Steve

  5. Hi, sorry if I've posted this in the wrong place.

I know a lot of you on here knew David Shephard who recently passed away. I only had the pleasure of meeting him a couple of times and had numerous conversations on the telephone with him. Back in January of this year he purchased a crane fed chipper off me, recently his wife Nicola has been in touch with a few queries on the machine as she is wanting to sell. If anyone on here is interested then message me and I will put you in touch with her or if you know Nicola and are interested then get in touch with her.

It's a farmi forest 260 chipper (2006) fully refurbished with a palms 670 crane (2014). I know it as only been used once since the chipper was refurbished.
